Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The Mines
Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under that Act
for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby
notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for
gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed
Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such
lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds
of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the
Warden at Westport on or before the 1st day of May, 1883.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen
at the Warden's Office at Westport.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: Hugh Jones, for the Great Republic Gold-Mining
Company (Limited). Style under which it is intended to con-
duct the business: "The Kawatiri Gold-Mining Company."
16 acres 2 roods, adjoining the eastern boundary of the Enter-
prise Company's lease, Stoney Creek, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this nineteenth day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-

IN conformity with clause 14 of the Agricultural Leases Regu-
lations, it is hereby notified that the under-mentioned
certificate has been declared void, and that the land is now

containing 37 acres 3 roods 26 perches, in the Mount Ida Mining
District.
