Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

IN exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim that the several lines of road described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasure-
ment 8 perches, 1 rood 35 perches, and 11 perches respectively,
more or less, situated in Block No. 7, Whangaroa Survey Dis-
trict, and being portions of a road-line varying in width, and
traversing the southern and eastern portion of the Ohakiri
Block No. 3217.
Portion containing 8 perches, commencing at a distance of
480 links from the northernmost angle of the Ohakiri Block.
Bounded towards the North-east by a line, 163 links; towards
the South by a line, 125 links; and towards the West by a line,
85 links, to the commencing point: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.
Portion containing 1 rood 35 perches, commencing at the
easternmost angle of the Ohakiri Block. Bounded towards
the East by a line, 762 links; towards the North-west by lines,
96 links, 159 links, and 217 links respectively; and towards the
South-west by a line, 340 links, to the commencing point: be
all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Portion containing 11 perches, commencing on the southern
boundary of the Ohakiri Block, at a distance of 116 links from
its southernmost angle. Bounded towards the North by a line,
246 links; towards the South-east by a line, 153 links; and
towards the South-west by a line, 116 links, to the commencing
point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is
delineated on Plan No. 3222, deposited in the Survey Office at
Auckland.
Date of warrant, 29th January, 1883.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three.

Abolishing Sittings of District Court of Hawke's Bay.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by "The District Courts Act, 1858,"
and of every other power and authority in this behalf enabling
him, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby
abolish the sittings of the District Court of Hawke's Bay, as
previously fixed and appointed.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three.

Fixing Shooting Season for Native and Imported Game,
License Fee, &c., Auckland District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals Pro-
tection Act, 1880," and "The Animals Protection Act
Amendment Act, 1881," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify
that pheasants and Californian and Australian quail may be
taken or killed within the Auckland District, consisting of the
Auckland Provincial District, excepting the Counties of Cook,
Whakatane, Tauranga, East Taupo, and Wairoa, from the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
three, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three, both inclusive (subject nevertheless
to the restrictions in the said Act mentioned). And I do
further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within
the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of
thirty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall
be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the
Chief Postmaster at Auckland is hereby appointed to issue the
said licenses. And I do further notify that native game (except
tuis) may be taken or killed within the said district from the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three,
to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three, both inclusive.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three.

Fixing Amount of Fee for Licenses to sell Game, Taranaki
District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," and "The Animals Protection Act
Amendment Act, 1881," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify
that licenses to sell game within the Taranaki District, consist-
ing of the County of Taranaki, shall be issued on payment of
the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmaster at New Ply-
mouth is hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this second day of April, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-three.

Hares allowed to be shot in Rangitikei County.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals Pro-
tection Act, 1880," and "The Animals Protection Act
Amendment Act, 1881," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify
that hares may be taken or killed within the district comprised
within the County of Rangitikei from the first day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, to the thirtieth
day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
three, both inclusive. And I do further notify that licenses to
take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on
payment of the sum of twenty-one shillings each; and the
Postmaster at Marton is hereby appointed to issue the said
licenses.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this second day of April, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-three.

Protection Act, 1880," and "The Animals Protection Act
Amendment Act, 1881," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
all that area comprised within the Counties of Kaikoura and
Amuri to be a district under the said Acts, to be called the
