Adoption of "Rating Act, 1882," by the Borough Council of
Picton.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council of Picton,
on or about the 15th day of November, 1882, duly
passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt "The
Rating Act, 1882," and that such resolution is in the words and
figures following, namely:—
"That this Council desires to adopt the Rating Act of
1882."
Dated this 31st day of March, 1883.

Adoption of "Rating Act, 1882," by the Borough Council
of Akaroa.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council of Akaroa,
on or about the 26th day of November, 1882, duly passed
a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt "The Rating
Act, 1882," and that such resolution is in the words and figures
following, namely:—
"That, in the opinion of this Council, it is desirable that
'The Rating Act, 1882,' be adopted and brought into force in
the Borough of Akaroa, in lieu of 'The Rating Act, 1876,' and
the various Acts amending the same; and, further, that the
Property-Tax Commissioner be respectfully requested to give
effect to this resolution."
Dated this 31st day of March, 1883.

Adoption of "Rating Act, 1882," by the Borough Council
of Sydenham.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council of Syden-
ham, on or about the 13th day of November, 1882, duly
passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to adopt "The
Rating Act, 1882," and that such resolution is in the words and
figures following, namely:—
"That, in accordance with the proviso to section 58 of 'The
Rating Act, 1882,' this Council do hereby adopt the said Act,
and also the assessment-roll of the borough, which will be
supplied by the Property-Tax Commissioner in accordance with
section number 4 of the said Act; and that the Town Clerk be
instructed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Commis-
sioner."

Adoption of "Rating Act, 1882," by the Borough Council
of Palmerston South.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council of
Palmerston South, on or about the 15th day of November,
1882, duly passed a resolution to the effect that it desires to
adopt "The Rating Act, 1882," and that such resolution is in
the words and figures following, namely:—
"That, as a means of providing a valuation of the borough
properties for the ensuing year, this Council adopt 'The Rating
Act, 1882,' and that the Commissioner receive intimation of
the same."
