Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

IN exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim that the several lines of road described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in warrants of the dates given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland,
in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement
1 rood 25 perches, more or less, situated in Block I., Waimata Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide,
traversing a portion of the Ngakoroa No. 1 Block. Bounded
towards the North by the Mangataikehu Stream; towards the
East by lines, 210 links and 182·2 links respectively; towards the
South by a line, 100 links; and towards the West by lines,
226·4 links and 180 links respectively, to the commencing point:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3176, deposited in the Survey Office at
Auckland.
Date of warrant, 22nd March, 1881.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland,
in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement
2 acres and 29 perches, more or less, and being a road-line, 100
links wide, traversing a portion of the Ngakoroa Block, Block
No. V., Waimata Survey District. Bounded towards the North
and North-west generally by lines, 120 links, 560·9 links, 990·9
links, and 444 links respectively; towards the North-east by a
line, 100 links; towards the South-east and South generally by
lines, 489·5 links, 997·1 links, 604·1 links, and 167 links respectively; and towards the West by the flood-channel of the
Waipaoa River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as
the same is delineated on Plan No. 3165, deposited in the
Survey Office at Auckland.
Date of warrant, 22nd March, 1881.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland,
in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 25 perches, more or less, and being a road-line,
100 links wide, traversing a portion of the Ruangarehu Block,
Block No. V., Waimata Survey District. Bounded towards the
North-east by a line, 1178 links; towards the South-east by
the flood-channel of the Waipaoa River; towards the South-west by lines, 20 links and 1123·3 links respectively; and
towards the West by a road-line, 113 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan
No. 3165, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.
Date of warrant, 10th December, 1878.

eighth day of March, one thousand eight hundred

Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is,
amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may
declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter
the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested
in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes
named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether
the same be granted or not; and, in the case of any reserves
made under the authority of section one hundred and forty-four
of “The Land Act, 1877,” if it shall, in the opinion of the
Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserves
or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for
which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in
the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of
the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal
value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the
said Class II., the Governor may, by notice in the Gazette,
declare his intention to make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner
and terms in which the same is intended to be so made :
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
“The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my
intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the
reserve named in the first column and described in the second
column of the said Schedule hereto to the specific purpose set
opposite such description in the third column of the said
Schedule, and such land shall henceforth be deemed to be
reserved and set apart for such last-mentioned specific purpose,
and no other.
