THE following Notice to Mariners, received from the Hydro-
grapher to the Admiralty, is published for general infor-
mation.

Alterations in Na Mbukalou Light.
WITH reference to Notice to Mariners No. 41, dated the 22nd
March, 1881, on the establishment of a light at Na Mbukalou,
Suva Harbour, information has been received from Captain C.
A. G. Bridge, H.M.S. "Espiegle," dated the 16th June, 1882,
that the following alterations have been made in the light :-
The light (green), elevated 25 feet above high water, is now
shown from a lantern painted white, on a pole placed close to
high-water mark, W. N. from its previous position; it is
obscured southward of a line passing 50 yards north of the
easternmost of the two white buoys within the harbour entrance,
also obscured northward of a line passing 50 yards south of
the black buoy marking Wai-Lami Spit.
The bearing is magnetic. Variation 94º easterly in 1882.
NOTE. The church on the hill above Na Mbukalou has been
removed.

NOTICE has been received at this office, under the hand of
the Returning Officer, that
HIRA TE POPO
has been duly elected to be Assessor for the Native Licensing
District of Waioeka;
HIMIONA TE KANI
to be Assessor for the Native Licensing District of Tolago; and
PIRIMI MATAIAWHEA
to be Assessor for the Native Licensing District of Oamataroa.

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of the purchase-money to be paid
on application, and the balance to the Receiver of Land Revenue
at New Plymouth within one calendar month from date of
application, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited, and the
contract for the sale of the land thenceforth will be null and
void. Crown-grant fees to be paid on completion of the pur-
chase. In the event of two or more applications for the same
land being made on the same day, the upset price at which such
land shall be put up at auction shall be the price stated above.
Coloured lithographic plans of the above sections are on view
at the Land Offices throughout the colony.
