Dunedin, Peninsula, and Ocean Beach Railway Company
(Limited).
To the Shareholders of the Dunedin, Peninsula, and Ocean
Beach Railway Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general
meeting of the Shareholders of the above-named Company,
held at the Company's office, Dowling Street, Dunedin, on the
15th day of January, 1883, a resolution was passed confirming
the following special resolution passed at an extraordinary
meeting of the Shareholders, held at Dunedin, on the 4th day
of December, 1882: "That the Dunedin, Peninsula, and Ocean
Beach Railway Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily,
under the provisions of 'The Joint-Stock Companies Act,
1860.'"

And, further, notice is hereby given that, at the same meeting,
Mr. John Patrick Spring, of Dunedin, Commission Agent, was
appointed sole Liquidator of the said Company.

PURSUANT to an Order of the High Court of Justice,
Chancery Division, made in the matter of the estate of
WILFRID CONSTABLE MAXWELL, deceased, and in a cause
Alfred Peter Constable Maxwell against Edward Constable
Maxwell, 1882, M. No. 2241.—The Creditors of Wilfrid
Constable Maxwell, late of 13, Anderson Street, Chelsea, in the
County of Middlesex, and of Terregles, near Dumfries, in
Scotland, and of the Malvern District, Canterbury, New
Zealand, Esquire, who died on the 6th day of February, 1881,
resident in the United Kingdom, are on or before the 1st day of
February, 1883, and the Creditors of the said Wilfrid Constable
Maxwell resident in New Zealand and elsewhere out of the
United Kingdom are on or before the 1st day of June, 1883,
respectively to send by post, prepaid, to Mr. Percy Gordon, of
the firm of Norris and Gordon, of 2, Bedford Row, London,
W.C., the Solicitors for the Defendant, the Administrator of the
deceased, their Christian and surnames, addresses and
descriptions, the full particulars of their claims, a statement of
their accounts, and the nature of the securities (if any) held by
them, or in default thereof they will be peremptorily excluded
from the benefit of the said order. Every creditor holding any
security is to produce the same before Mr. Justice Chitty, at
his chambers, situate at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand,
Middlesex, on Friday, the 15th day of June, 1883, at 12 o'clock
at noon, being the time appointed for adjudicating on the
claims.

In the matter of a Bill to be intituled "An Act to empower
Hori Kerei Taiaroa, an Aboriginal Native of the Colony of
New Zealand, to alienate any Lands in the said Colony belong-
ing to him, unrestricted by the Terms of any Act or Acts in
force in New Zealand relating to Natives or Native Lands."

NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be
made to the General Assembly of New Zealand; at the
ensuing session thereof, for leave to bring in a Bill to be
intituled "An Act to empower Hori Kerei Taiaroa, an Aboriginal
Native of the Colony of New Zealand, to alienate any Lands in
the said Colony belonging to him, unrestricted by the Terms of
any Act or Acts in force in New Zealand relating to Natives or
Native Lands;" and that the objects of such Bill will be to
empower or enable Hori Kerei Taiaroa, an aboriginal native of
the Colony of New Zealand, to alienate any lands in New
Zealand granted to him by the Crown, or held by him under
memorials of ownership, issued by the Native Lands Courts, or
acquired by the said Hori Kerei Taiaroa by purchase or other-
wise from aboriginal natives of New Zealand and others, unre-
stricted by the terms of any Act or Acts in force in New Zea-
land relating to Natives and Native lands, and in the same
manner and to the same extent as European-born subjects of
Her Majesty may alienate their lands in New Zealand. And
notice is hereby given that copies of the said Bill will be de-
posited in the Examiner's office within fourteen days after the
commencement of the said session.

Dated this 5th day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-three.

College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, 1882, hereby give notice
that I have this day deposited my diplomas with the Registrar
of the Christchurch District, and that I intend to apply to be
registered under the New Zealand Medical Act in one month
from date hereof.
