Extending the Boundaries of the Borough of South
Invercargill.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by
"The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and the Acts
amending the same, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the districts the boundaries whereof are
specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby incorporated
into the Borough of South Invercargill and added to the wards
of the said borough, as mentioned in the said Schedule, and that
the boundaries of the said borough shall be those described in
the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
To be added to Centre Ward.

ALL that area bounded towards the North by Section No. 1 of
Block III., Invercargill Hundred; towards the East by a road
forming the eastern boundary of said Section No. 1; towards
the South by Section No. 5 of said Block III.; and towards the
West by a road known as the Bluff Road, which intersects
Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of said block.

Also all that other area bounded towards the North by Section
No. 6 of Block III., Invercargill Hundred; towards the East
by a road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 7;
again towards the North by a road forming the northern boun-
dary of Sections Nos. 39 and 45 of Block XIX.; again towards
the East by a road forming the eastern boundary of the last-
mentioned section to a point in line with the northern boundary-
line of Section No. 57; again towards the North to and by the
said boundary-line; again towards the East by Section No. 58;
towards the South by the road forming the southern boundary
of Section No. 57 to a point in line with the eastern boundary-
line of Section No. 60; towards the East by a line across the
road; and again towards the South by the southern side of the
road forming the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 57 and
45, and intersecting Sections Nos. 42, 41, and 40 to the eastern
side of the road known as the Bluff Road, and which intersects
Sections Nos. 7, 8, and 9 of Block III.; and towards the South-
west by that road to Section No. 6 before mentioned.

To be added to South Ward.

All that area being Section No. 60 of Block XIX., Invercargill
Hundred, and bounded towards the North by a road; towards
the East by Section No. 56; towards the South by a reserve;
and towards the North-west by a road.

Also all that other area bounded towards the North by a
road forming the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 40 and 45 of
Block XIX., Invercargill Hundred; towards the North-east by
a road forming the north-east boundary of Section No. 43;
towards the South-east by Section No. 44; and towards the
South-west by a road known as the Bluff Road to the road
forming part of the northern boundary-line of Section No. 40.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
Amended Boundaries of Borough of South Invercargill.

ALL that area situated in Invercargill Hundred and bounded
towards the North by a road forming the northern boundary of
Section No. 1 of Block III., Invercargill Hundred, across Elles
Road; towards the West by that road; again towards the
North by the road forming the northern boundary of Sections
Nos. 14, 15, and 16 of Block I., Invercargill Hundred; towards
the East by Section No. 17 of said block and by Section No. 34
of Block XIX.; again towards the North by Sections Nos. 34,
35, 36, 37B, and 38 and its southern boundary produced across
the road to Block XXII.; again towards the East by a line
forming the eastern side of the road which forms the eastern
boundary of Block XIX., Invercargill Hundred, to Campbell-
town Hundred; towards the South by that Hundred; towards
the South-west by Sections Nos. 51, 50, 49, and 48 of Block
XIX., Invercargill Hundred; towards the South-east by said
Section No. 48; again towards the South-west by a road and by
Section No. 46; again towards the South-east by Section
No. 46 to the road known as the Bluff Road; and again towards
the South-west and towards the West by that road, which
intersects Block III., Invercargill Hundred, to the northern
boundary of Section No. 1 of said Block III.: as the same is
delineated on the plans in the Survey Office, Invercargill.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in
Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twelfth day of February, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

Amalgamating Licensing Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities con-
ferred upon me by section three of "The Licensing Act
Amendment Act, 1882," I, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Licensing
Districts of South Dunedin North, South Dunedin East, and
South Dunedin South shall be amalgamated under the name of
the South Dunedin Licensing District, as from the fifteenth day
of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three;
and that, as from the said date, the said Licensing Districts of
South Dunedin North, South Dunedin East, and South Dunedin
South shall be abolished.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in
Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
