The Harbour Board Block is covered with valuable timber,
including totara. Settlement on the block is satisfactorily
progressing, forty-two sections having been purchased. Ap-
proachable by good roads. Distance from Palmerston, about
fourteen miles.

The Tokomaru sections are undulating and hilly, well
watered, and accessible by roads formed and in progress. The
growth of timber is light, interspersed with fern; the soil good.
Distance from Wanganui, about ten miles.

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of the purchase-money to be paid
on application, and the balance to the Receiver of Land Revenue
at Wellington within one calendar month from date of appli-
cation; otherwise the deposit will be forfeited, and the contract
for the sale of the land thenceforth will be null and void.
Crown-grant fees to be paid on completion of the purchase.
Coloured lithographic plans of the above sections are on view
at the Land Offices throughout the colony.

Sale of the Waitara Block, Upper Mohaka.

THE lands mentioned hereunder, having been classified under
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882," will be
offered for sale, for cash, by public auction, at the Council
Chamber, Napier, on Wednesday, the 28th February next, at
11 o'clock in the forenoon.

A lithograph plan of the block has been prepared, and may
be had on application at the Survey Office.

One-fourth of the purchase-money must be paid at the sale,
and the balance within one calender month thereafter.

Description.—Pohui District: Open fern-hills intersected by
narrow valleys, the soil is light. Section 2 has a small frontage
to the Taupo Road, and is bounded on one side by the Mohaka
River. Sections 3 and 4 have frontage to the Taupo Road.

Maungaharuru District: Fern-hills and spurs on the western
slopes of the Maungaharuru Range, the soil is light, about one
half of Section 2 is undulating country covered with natural
grasses. Section 3 is good pastoral land. Section 4 has front-
age to Taupo Road. A few clumps of bush are scattered about
on Section 1.

Waitara District: Open fern country, hilly.
A bridle-road on the permanent grades has been formed a
distance of twelve miles through the block, starting from the
Taupo Road about thirty-five miles from Napier.

Otago Runs.—Leases which expire in March, 1884.

THE following Licenses of Runs, for terms of years com-
mencing the 1st March, 1884, will be offered by auction, in
Watson's Long-room, High Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the
27th February, 1883, at 11 o'clock a.m.
