Land taken for a Road in Newmarket Road District, Pro-vincial District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1882," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a
road in the Newmarket Road District, Provincial District of
Auckland:
And whereas the Newmarket Road Board has laid before
the Governor the memorial and map mentioned in, and
signed and certified as required by, the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section
eleven of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a
road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof,
the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-
simple in the inhabitants of the Newmarket Road District,
discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or
interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by ad-
measurement 2 roods 16 perches, being a portion of a road-
line 45.5 links wide lying along the eastern side of Section
No. 22 of Section No. 3; commencing at a distance of 373
links or thereabouts from the north-eastern extremity of the
eastern side of the road known as Seafield View Road.
Bounded towards the North by the Park Road, 45.5 links;
towards the East by a line, 1324 links; towards the South by
the Carleton Gore Road, 45.5 links; and towards the West
by a line, 1324 links, to the commencing point.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasure-
ment 2 roods 16 perches, being a portion of a road-line 45.5 links
wide lying along the western side of Section No. 23 of Section
No. 3; commencing at a distance of 418 links from the north-
eastern extremity of the eastern side of the road known as
Seafield View Road. Bounded towards the North by the
Park Road, 45.5 links; towards the East by a line, 1324 links;
towards the South by the Carleton Gore Road, 45.5 links; and
towards the West by a line, 1324 links, to the commencing
point.
The above areas being either more or less, and the parcels
of land being situate in the suburbs of Auckland, Parish of
Waitemata, Rangitoto Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland; and are more particularly delineated upon the
plan attached to the memorial above referred to.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this tenth day of December, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

Land taken for Further Portion of Foxton-New Plymouth
Railway (Foxton Station-ground).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for further portion of the
Foxton-New Plymouth Railway (Foxton Station-ground):
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be
observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in
the manner hereby provided have been observed and per-
formed:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred
and thirty of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further por-
tion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11
perches, more or less, situate in the Mount Robinson Survey
District, and being portion of Block V., Awahou, com-
mencing at the north-western corner of the said Block V.,
Awahou. Bounded--Northerly by a line, 40 links; Easterly
by a road and a line, 360 links; and Westerly by the old
high-water mark of the Manawatu River, about 375 links.
Also all that other parcel of land immediately adjoining
the above, and recently reclaimed from the Manawatu River,
containing by admeasurement 1 rood 37.4 perches, more or
less, commencing at the north-western corner of the said
Block V., Awahou. Bounded--Northerly by a line, 122
links; Westerly by the Manawatu River and by a line, 600
links; Southerly by the Manawatu River, 50 links; and
Easterly by the old high-water mark of the Manawatu River
and by a road, 542 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are
more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D.
10875, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works
at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-

Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in me by "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1881," and
of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that
behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
order that the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall
be quarantine-grounds for dogs imported into the several
ports of entry mentioned in the said Schedule.
