All that piece of land situated in the County of Whakatane,
containing nineteen acres one rood and nineteen perches,
more or less, being Allotment number three hundred and
fifty-one of the Parish of Waiotahi, and being the whole of
the land referred to in Volume xviii., folio 180, of the Register-
book at Auckland.
All that piece of land situated in the County of Whakatane,
containing twenty acres, more or less, being Allotment
number three hundred and sixty-three of the Parish of
Waiotahi, and being the whole of the land referred to in
Volume xviii., folio 178, of the Register-book at Auckland.
All that piece of land situated in the County of Whakatane,
containing twenty acres, more or less, being Allotment
number three hundred and seventy-two of the Parish of
Waiotahi, and being the whole of the land referred to in
Volume xviii., folio 234, of the Register-book at Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in a certain aboriginal native of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of such
restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and
in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the aliena-
tion of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this thirty-first day of October, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

ment one thousand nine hundred and ten acres, more or
less, situate in the District of Wairarapa, and being the
block of land called or known by the name of "Maramamau
West," and numbered 35N.
Native Land taken for Portion of Awapurua Bridge Con-
tract, on Wellington-Napier Railway.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day
of November, 1883.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency
Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order
that the Government work known as the Wellington-Napier
Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the
parcel of land more particularly described in the Schedule
hereto, and delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 10863,
deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in the
said colony.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 10 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, situate in the
Provincial District of Wellington, being portion of the Manga-
tainoka Block No. 1B, in the Makuri Survey District, com-
mencing at a point on the bank of the Manawatu River.
Bounded as follows: North-easterly by said river, 360 links;
South-easterly by a line, 1126 links; Easterly by a line, 428
links; South-easterly by a line, 257 links; South-westerly by
a line, 445 and 50 links respectively; South-easterly by a
line, 1600 links; South-westerly by a line, 300 links; North-
westerly by a line to commencing point, 3043 links: as the
same is delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 10863,
deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day
of December, 1883.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for a ferry: And whereas, in the
opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said
land in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the
County of Selwyn:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by section four of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and in-
habitants of the County of Selwyn, in trust, for ferry pur-
poses.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Hurst Survey District,
Provincial District of Canterbury, containing 10 acres, more
or less. Bounded—Southward by Section No. 12658 and the
north-western boundary-line thereof produced; Westward by
the River Rakaia; and Eastward by the river road: and
numbered 2559 (in red) on the official map in the Survey
Office, Christchurch,
