SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 10 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, situate in the
Provincial District of Wellington, being portion of the Manga-
tainoka Block No. 1B, in the Makuri Survey District, com-
mencing at a point on the bank of the Manawatu River.
Bounded as follows: North-easterly by said river, 360 links;
South-easterly by a line, 1126 links; Easterly by a line, 428
links; South-easterly by a line, 257 links; South-westerly by
a line, 445 and 50 links respectively; South-easterly by a
line, 1600 links; South-westerly by a line, 300 links; North-
westerly by a line to commencing point, 3043 links: as the
same is delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 10863,
deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth
day of November, 1883.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
were reserved for gravel-pits: And whereas, in the
opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said lands
in the Road Board of the Mount Peel District:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by section four of "The
Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that, from
and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserves shall
become vested in the said Road Board of the Mount Peel
District, in trust, for gravel-pits.

NOTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS, Patent
Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, has
applied on behalf of THE FELLOWS MEDICAL MANUFACTUR-
ING COMPANY (LIMITED), of Saint John, New Brunswick, and
Montreal, Canada, Proprietors and Manufacturers of Fellows'
Compound Syrup of Hypophosphites, to register under "The
Trade Marks Act, 1866," the trade mark of which the follow-
ing is a description, viz. :-
Description of Trade Mark.
The words " Fellows' Compound Syrup of Hypophosphites,"
surrounded by an ornamental oval border, in which are the
words and letters "Syr. Hypophos. Comp. Fellows," below
appearing a fac-simile signature of "James J. Fellows;" the
essential portions of the mark being the words "Fellows'
Compound Syrup of Hypophosphites."
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.

NOTICE is hereby given that ROBERT C. WEBSTER, of
111, Pitt Street, Sydney, in the Colony of New South
Wales, has applied on behalf of FRANCIS WEBSTER AND
SONS, of Alma Works, Arbroath, Scotland, Flax and Cotton
Spinners and Manufacturers, to register, under "The Trade
Marks Act, 1866," the trade mark of which the following
is a description, viz. :-
Description of Trade Mark.
A representation of Mercury's rod, with two snakes en-
circling it, and crossed by a spindle and shuttle.
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.
Canvas, sailcloth, tarpauling, twines, cordage, and rope of
flax, hemp, cotton, or jute, or in which one or more or any
of these fibres predominates.

Bonuses on Colonial Industries.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following bonuses will
be paid on articles produced in the Colony of New
Zealand, as under:-
SILK.
A bonus of fifty per cent. on the value realized for the first
thousand pounds' (£1,000) worth of cocoons of the silkworm,
or silkworms' eggs, produced in the colony, to be paid on
quantities of not less value than fifty pounds (£50) nor more
than one hundred pounds (£100) produced by any one person.
MANGANEISEN AND MANGANESE-BRONZE.
A bonus of five hundred pounds (£500) will be given for
the first two thousand five hundred pounds' (£2,500) worth of
manganeisen, and a similar bonus for a like amount of man-
ganese-bronze, produced in the colony from New Zealand
ores, and sold at a fair market price in a foreign market.
MARBLE.
A bonus of three hundred pounds (£300) will be given for
the first fifteen hundred pounds' (£1,500) worth of New
Zealand marble exported from the colony, and sold in a
foreign market at a price of not less than 9s. per cubic foot.
ANTIMONY.
A bonus of five hundred pounds (£500) will be given for
the first 250 tons of antimony regulus produced in the
colony from New Zealand ores, and sold at a fair market
price in a foreign market.
Conditions.
- Notice of intention to claim any of the above bonuses
must be given in writing to the Colonial Secretary not later
than the 31st December, 1883. - The claim must be made before the 30th June, 1884.
- The first claimant of any bonus who proves to the satis-
faction of the Government that he has fulfilled all the con-
ditions to be the recipient of the bonus. - The other conditions as to quantity, priority, quality,
and value to be fulfilled to the satisfaction of an officer
appointed for the purpose by the Government.
