land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of such
restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and
in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the aliena-
tion of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-

Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this thirty-first day of October, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth
day of November, 1883.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881,"
His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated
the nineteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three, making delegation of certain powers in manner
as therein appears, and doth, with the like advice and
consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with
respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the
Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act afore-
said, except the powers under or conferred by sections five
and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who
shall be known as the Prebbleton Public Domain Board,
viz. :-
HENRY WILLIAM PERRYMAN,
JOSEPH HAYDON,
EDWARD PREBBLE,
JOHN WILLIAM OVERTON, and
JAMES OSBORNE
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipula-
tions hereinafter contained, that is to say, -

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
the first Thursday in each month, at half-past eleven o'clock
a.m., at the Lincoln Road Board Office, or at such other time
or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
The first meeting shall be held on Thursday, the third day of
January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no
other business than that so specified shall be transacted at
such meeting. -
Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time. -
The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first
Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of
such meeting. -
If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the
office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members
may, at any monthly or special meeting, appoint a Chair-
man. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Christchurch Survey District, Provincial
District of Canterbury, containing 3 acres 2 roods 15 perches.
Bounded-North-eastward by Section No. 3643, 733 links;
South-eastward by Spring's Road 400 links, and Reserve No.
202 (in red) 200 links; North-westward by Section No. 3835,
600 links; and South-westward by Reserve No. 202 (in red),
333 links and 400 links: and numbered 2419 (in red) on the
official map in the Survey Office, Christchurch.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 2 roods, more
or less, being Akaroa Town Section No. 45, and Reserves
Nos. 88 and 1724 (in red), situated in the Akaroa Survey
District, and partly within the Borough of Akaroa. Bounded
towards the North by the Beach Road; towards the North-
east by Aylmer Street, about 700 links; towards the East
and South by South Street, about 1283 links; and towards
the West by Reserve No. 117 (in red) and the road leading
thereto, about 1310 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited
in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
