Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road through
Land in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule
hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road, 100 links wide, the middle of which com-
mences at a point marked A on the south-western boundary
of Otairi No. 3, situate in the Ongo Survey District, said
point being distant 7646 links from the most southerly angle
of the said block; and continues generally in a north-
easterly direction to a point marked C on the north-eastern
boundary of Otairi, Section No. 1c, said point being distant
6800 links or thereabouts from the most northerly angle of
that section: as the same is more particularly shown on the
plan marked W.D. 609, and deposited in the District Survey
Office, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 25th September, 1883.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twenty-eighth day of November, in the year of
our Lord one thousand, eight hundred and eighty-
three.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of such
restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in
the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the alienation
of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William

in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the

SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land situate in the Oakura District, in the
County of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement eight
acres and five perches, more or less, and being the Allotment
numbered eleven on the map of the Ahuahu Town Belt.
