county roll of the County of Waipa, and the taking of certain
steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and
taken within the times limited by "The Counties Act, 1876;"
and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several times
mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto
shall be the respective times for taking the several steps set
opposite such times in the first column of the said Schedule
respectively.
SCHEDULE.
First Column.

- (1) Time for which the rolls shall be open for inspection under section 46 of "The Counties Act, 1876"
(1) From the 15th Sept. to the 13th Oct., 1883. - (2) Time for appeals against the said rolls under section 47 of the said Act
(2) Until the 27th Oct., 1883. - (3) Assessment Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn, under section 48 of the said Act
(3) Until the 24th Nov., 1883. - (4) Time when rolls shall come into force
(4) On the 10th Dec., 1883.

claiming a County Road.

THE following special order, made by the Waipawa
County Council, is published in accordance with
"The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT the line of road leading from the crossing of the Tuki-
tuki River, at the round hill near Ashcott, Ruataniwha,
south bank of Tukituki River, to Block No. 258, thence
through Blocks Nos. 258, 37, 40, 41, 42, 51, 52, and 53 to
Lutheran Church, thence in a southerly direction to cross-
ing of the Tukipo Stream, thence westerly and southerly
through Blocks Nos. 82, 85, 28, and 25 to Ashley-Clinton
Road, be proclaimed a county road.
I hereby certify that the above was duly made by the
Waipawa County Council on the 4th October, 1883.

Arrangements for First Elections, &c., Town District of Clyde,
County of Wairoa.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to ap-
point
THOMAS LAMBERT
to be Returning Officer to conduct the first election of five
Commissioners of the Clyde Town District, as constituted
under "The Town Districts Act, 1881;" also to appoint
Monday, the 26th day of November, 1883, to be the time,
and the County Hall, Clyde, to be the place for, holding
such first elections; and also to appoint Monday, the 3rd
day of December, 1883, at noon, to be the time, and the said
County Hall to be the place, for holding the first meeting of
the said Commissioners.
