THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

  1. Transgression of Regulations forbidden. -No person shall
    do or attempt to do, cause or permit to be done or to be
    attempted to be done, or assist in doing or attempting to do
    any act forbidden by these regulations, or obtain or endeavour
    to obtain or assist any one in obtaining or endeavouring to
    obtain by fraud any certificate or authority under these
    regulations, or forge any such certificate or authority, or
    make use of any such forged or fraudulently obtained cer-
    tificate or authority, or fraudulently grant or issue any such
    certificate or authority, or obstruct or refuse to carry out the
    directions of any Inspector or other person acting under the
    authority of these regulations.
  2. These regulations shall commence and take effect on
    the sixtieth day after the day of their publication in the
    Government Gazette.

And the Honourable Jonas Felix Levien, Her Majesty's
Minister of Agriculture for Victoria, shall give the necessary
directions herein accordingly.

Application for Registration of Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS, Patent
Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, has
applied, on behalf of the PATENT "CUBE" FIRE LIGHTER COM-
PANY, LIMITED, of No. 6, Drummond Road, Bermondsey, in
the County of Middlesex, in England, General Firewood Mer-
chants, to register, under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the
trade mark of which the following is a description, viz. : -

Description of Trade Mark.
The device of a cube, through apertures in the sides
and top of which flame is issuing. Above the aperture on
the right is the word "Facile," and below it is the word
"Incenditur;" and projecting from the aperture is a poker.
Above the cube are the words "Cube Fire Lighter."

Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.

ribbon in blue letters on a white ground, with the name "W.
