of Land Revenue for the Southland Land District one-tenth
of the price of the allotment. Such payment shall be deemed
to be a discharge of the license-fee for the six months due
on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-four.

  1. The purchaser of any lands described in Schedule I.,
    upon the full payment of the purchase-money, and the
    purchaser of any lands described in Schedule II., upon the
    like payment, and also the fulfilment of the terms and con-
    ditions prescribed by "The Land Act, 1877," "The Land
    Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," and "The Land Act 1877
    Amendment Act, 1882," relating to land on deferred-pay-
    ments, will be entitled to his Crown grant, to be issued in
    the usual way upon payment of the fees prescribed by law.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth sec-
tion of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstand-
ing that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Land Districts of Auckland, West Coast (North Island),
and Otago described in the Schedule hereunder written for
the purposes in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 38 acres 2 roods and 21
perches, more or less, being Section No. 10, Block XIV.,
Kaipara Survey District. Bounded towards the North by a
road, 3270 links; towards the East by Te Moau Stream;
towards the South by Section 6, Block XIV., Kaipara Survey
District, 2180 links; and towards the South-west by a road,
1852 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a
recreation-ground.

All that piece or parcel of land being Section No. 6A, Block
X., Purua Survey District, County Whangarei, containing
by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less. Bounded on the
North by Section No. 7, 885 links; on the East by Section
No. 6, 758 links; towards the South by a public road, dis-
tances of 460 links and 401 links; and towards the West by
a public road, 474 links: as the same is more particularly
delineated on the record map in the Survey Office, Auckland.
For a school site.

WEST COAST (NORTH ISLAND).

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 166 acres, more or less, being Section No. 629, Patea
District, on the map of the Opaku Survey District. Bounded
towards the North-east by a public road, 1936.2 links; to-
wards the East by a public road, 8379 links; towards the
South by Section No. 627, 3097 links and towards the West
by a public road, 8097.7 links be the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For primary education.

OTAGO.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, situate
in the Gimmerburn District, and being Section No. 24, of
Block IV. of said district. Bounded towards the North by a
road-line, 1000 links; towards the East by a road-line, 1000
links; towards the South by Section No. 19 of same block,
1000 links; and towards the West by said Section No. 19,
1000 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a
school site.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eighth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three.

Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
the several persons whose names are specified in the first
column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for
the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in
the second column of the said Schedule.
