NATIVE LAND COURT ACT, 1880.
Notice of Times and Places for Investigating Claims.

NOTICE is hereby given that the claims, on behalf of themselves and others, of the several persons
whose names 'are mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereunder written, to the several
blocks of land of which the names and localities are mentioned in the second column, the boundaries of
which are published in the third column will be investigated at Uawa, Tologa Bay, on the 12th day
of November, 1883, and following days.
The maps of such of these lands as has been surveyed, can be seen at the Courthouse of the Resident
Magistrate, Gisborne.

No. Names of Claimants. Name and Localities of Blocks. Boundaries.
1 Hone Patoromu, Patoromu Toromata, Pine Wahapeka, Paora Tawhe, and others Tuotemaonga, near Poroikamoana, Tokomaru Mangamauku, proceed by Tuotemaonga, strike Te Poroikamoana, turn again, proceed, descend into the stream, arrive at the main stream at Mangahauwini, return to the starting point, and close up at Mangamauku.
2 Hirini Tutu, Heremia, Taurewa, Riperata Kahutia Koputarakihi No. 1, near Uawa Commence at Totaratapu, Rangitoto, Te Akatarewa, Waihinaki, Pukewhinau, Te Kumikumi, Te Mahanga, proceed along the Uawa stream, and arrive at Te Rakautapu.
3 Riperata Kahutia, Heremia Taurewa, and Hirini Tutu Kopuatarakihi, near Uawa Commence at Te Kopuni, Takapau, Pukewhinau, Te Kumikumi, Pukepiripiri, Ngatokotoko, Kahikatearoa, and join up to Te Kopuni, the starting point.
4 Hoani Matiaha, Hariata Rukeruke, Wi Wharekino, and others Whitiwhiti, part of Whangara Block, near Uawa Whitiwhiti, Te Ruatewhaki, Motuokainui, Te Waiotewhatu, Motuhoni, Whangaparuparu, Te Rimututahi, and Waiotepopohu.
5 Natana Maukau, Hohaia Te Wera, R. W. Haapu, and Riwai Tauranga Takapau, near Uawa ... Ihungia, proceed along that stream, enter within Matarau, ascend to Rangikohua, descend into Te Hikutauomakara, proceed to the mouth of the river, proceed along Te Mataa, and along the boundary of Puketiti, descend into Ouetumarae, and close up at Ihungia.
