NOTICE is hereby given that the following parcels
of land are hereby offered for sale, viz.: Allot-
ments 66, 67, and 107, Fitzroy Estate, and 1, 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, and 8 on Plan No. 345 of second resubdivision
of part of the Township of Forbury, comprised in
certificates of title, Register-book, Vol. lvii., folios

74, 75, 111, and 112; Vol lviii., folios 83 and 84; and
Vol. lxii., folio 111; and further that, unless within
one calendar month after the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice a sufficient amount shall have been
realized by the sale of the said lands to satisfy the
principal and interest moneys due on a certain memo-
randum of mortgage registered in this office as No.
8208, and all expenses of such sale or incidental
thereto, an order will be issued by me in favour of
GEORGE THOMAS CLARKE, of Dunedin, Auc-
tioneer, the last Mortgagee, pursuant to section 127
of “The Land Transfer Act, 1870,” foreclosing
SIMON MILLINGTON and SAMUEL MILLINGTON, of
South Dunedin, Contractors, and all persons claiming
through or under them subsequent to the said
mortgage, from all right and equity of redemption of
and in the said lands.

Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Tuapeka, 10th November, 1882.
To the Warden at Lawrence.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for min-
ing purposes, commencing in Waitahuna Main Gully
Creek, about 20 yards from Ferris and party’s flume
lower down the creek, and terminating at our claim,
registered number 944, situate in Main Gully, Waita-
huna, about 200 yards above Sailors’ Gully.
The length of such race is about 400 yards or
thereabouts, and its intended course is east and
west.
The mean depth of such race is 3 feet, and the
mean breadth is 2 feet, and it is proposed to divert
four Government-heads of water.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Crookston, 2nd November, 1882.
To the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to apply for
a license to use a Water-race, and divert and use
four Government-heads of water. Such race is already
constructed, and runs from a creek at a point about a
mile east of the southern corner of Section 5, Block
IX., Rankleburn District, to a dam, already con-
structed, used for sheep-washing and other purposes.
The length of such race is two miles or there-
abouts, and its course is north-west; and the license
is required for any or all of the purposes contemplated
by section 31 of “The Mines Act, 1877.”
