NOTICE OF TAKING LAND FOR PUBLIC WORKS
IN THE COUNTY OF MANAWATU.
In the matter of "The Public Works Act, 1876," and
the several amendments thereof.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by
the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of
the Manawatu County to execute a certain public
work under the provisions of "The Public Works
Act, 1876," and the amendments thereof, to wit, the
construction of a road through Block V., Te Awa-
hou, County of Manawatu, Provincial District of
Wellington, and for the purposes of such public
work the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken: And notice is further given
that a copy of the plan of the said road and of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the
offices of the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants
of the Manawatu County aforesaid, in Liddell Street,
in the Township of Foxton aforesaid, and is there
open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours: And notice is hereby further given that all
persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said land shall, if they
have any well-grounded objections to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of the said
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing within forty days from the first publication
of this notice to the Chairman, Councillors, and in-
habitants of the Manawatu County aforesaid, at their
offices aforesaid, in Liddell Street aforesaid, in the
said Township of Foxton.
THE SCHEDULE ABOVE REFERRED TO.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 3 roods 37.3 perches, more or less,
situate in the Township of Foxton aforesaid, in the
Survey District of Manawatu, Provincial District of
Wellington, being portion of Block V., Te Awahou,
commencing at the southernmost corner of Section
No. 558 on the authenticated plan of the said town-
ship. Bounded-Generally Northerly by Johnston
Street, in the said township, 100.2 links; Easterly
by part of Block V. aforesaid, 983.3 links; Southerly
