Notice of Times and Places for Investigating Claims.

NOTICE is hereby given that the claims, on behalf of themselves and others, of the several persons
whose names are mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereunder written, to the several
blocks of land of which the names and localities are mentioned in the second column, the boundaries of
which are published in the third column will be investigated at Maketu, Bay of Plenty, on the 5th day
of October, 1882, next, and following days.
The maps of such of these lands as have been surveyed can be seen at the Courthouse of the Resident
Magistrate, at Maketu.

Te Poroa Te Wiremu Tapati, near Maketu On the North is the land claimed by Tapuika

as theirs ; on the East is that claimed by
Ngatiwhakaue; on the South is Wharekahu,
land belonging to the Government; and on
the West is the land disputed by Tapuika and
Ngatiwhakaue. |
| Te Pokiha Taranui and Kepa
Te Wata Taranui | Whataroa No. 4, near
Maketu | On the Te Ruakoiwi; on the North, Puke-
maire; on the West, Ohineahuru No. 6; and
on the South the land of Ngatiwhakaue. |
| Kepa Wata Taranui, Hone
Hoeta, Eriapa Te Pahau, and
others | Te Kotukutuku No. 2,
near Maketu | On the East is land beloning to Hirione; on
the North, to Paora Te Amohau; on the
West, to Timoti Reone; and on the South, to
Manga and Matene Whakaawe. |
| Kepa Wata Taranui, Hone
Hoete, and Eriapa Te Pahau | Ngaparahia No. 1, near
Maketu | On the South is land belonging to Hakaraia
Tipene; on the East, to Hone Te Atirau; on
the North, to Puhou and others; and the
settlements of Te Warena are on the other
side. |
| Retireti Tapihana, Rewi Terea-
nuku, Te Poari, and Wikiri-
whi | Te Pukaingataru, near
Maketu | On the West and North is the stream of Kai-
tuna; on the North-east the swamp of Wai-
tepuia; and on the South, the Awangarara,
the Kaituna stream, and Tuaumu. |
| Tamihana and others | Pukaitaru Te Wainga-
rara, near Maketu | Te Waingarara, Mapararoa, Te Waitukutupo,
Kaiwha, onward to Torepuna, and proceed to
Kaituna; the southern boundary is Kawanga-
marama, Te Waipuna, Te Papawhakataratara,
and turn to Kaituna. |
