Land Transfer Act Notices.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
within one calendar month from the date of the
Gazette containing this notice.

  1. THE UNION BANK OF AUSTRALIA
    (LIMITED).-36 perches, Sections 234, 236, 692,
    Hokitika. Occupied by Henry Lee Robinson,
    Auctioneer.

Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Ahaura, 5th September, 1882.

To the Mining Registrar at Ahaura.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for
driving machinery for saw-mill, commencing at a
point seven chains up a creek which crosses Main
Grey Valley Road near deviation at Nelson Creek
and opposite John Ross's leasehold, and terminating
at the saw-mill site, situate at Main Grey Valley
Road nearest Creek deviation, and opposite
John Ross's leasehold.

The length of such race is seven chains or there-
abouts, and its intended course is east and west,
and situated entirely on Crown land.

The time required for construction and completion
of race is two months.

The mean depth of such race is 1 foot 6 inches,
and the mean breadth is 1 foot 6 inches; and it is
proposed to divert two Government-heads of water.

Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Ahaura within thirty clear days
from the date hereof.

To the Mining Registrar at Ross of the Totara
Mining District, and all other persons whom it
may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race and divert water, commencing at a
point on the Totara River, near Baufell's Creek, and
terminating at the head-race of the Ross Gold-Mining
Company (Limited), at Donnelly's Creek.

The length of such race is six miles or thereabouts,
and its intended course is north-west; the mean depth
of such race is 5 feet, and the mean breadth is 6 feet;
and it is proposed to divert forty Government-heads
of water.

The time required for the construction and comple-
tion of such race is eighteen months.

Dated at Ross, this 18th day of August, 1882.

GOLD-MINING LEASE APPLICATION WITHDRAWN.

NOTICE is hereby given that the application of
the Enterprise Water-race Company (Regis-
tered) for a gold-mining lease of 6 acres of ground,
situate in Francis's paddock, on the west side of
Main Gully, Naseby, lodged at the Warden's Office,
Naseby, on the 19th January, 1882, has been with-
drawn, and the ground referred to in such applica-
tion is open to persons holding miners' rights or
business licenses, or to applicants for a lease, as if no
lease of the said ground had ever been applied for.

pany (Limited) has been removed from Coro-
mandell to the office of Mr. James Stodart, New
Zealand Insurance Company's Buildings, Auckland;
and Mr. JAMES STODART has been appointed Manager,
in the room of Mr. W. Horne, resigned.

INCREASE OF CAPITAL.

I, the undersigned, Manager, hereby give notice
that an Increase in the Capital of the above-
named Company was on the 26th day of August,
1882, resolved on.

The mode adopted for the increase is by issuing
eight thousand new shares of one pound each, in
addition to the twelve thousand shares now existing
in the Company.
