Cancellation of Applications for Gold-Mining Lease.

Crown Lands Office,
Nelson, 14th September, 1882.

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned
applications for gold-mining leases have been
cancelled, and that the ground is now open for
application as if a lease of the same had never been
applied for :-

George Wise, Golden Spur Company; 16 acres
2 roods, Devil's Creek, Inangahua. Dated 24th
January, 1882.

James Pollock, Evening Star Company; 16 acres
2 roods 4 perches, Devil's Creek, Inangahua. Dated
28th November, 1882.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Greymouth on or
before the 2nd day of October, 1882.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Greymouth.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: F. W. Lahman. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "Advance
Quartz-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, north-
north-east of Hamilton's, Paparoa Range, in the
Nelson South-West Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this
thirteenth day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.

and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or before
the 7th day of November, 1882.

which it is intended to conduct the business: "Dur-
ham Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
south of the Shining Star lease, Inangahua, in the
Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick Brennan. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Ulster
Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, west of
and adjoining the Dunedin Gold-Mining Company's
lease, Boatman's, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-
West Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick Brennan. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Leinster
Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, north of
the Ulster lease application, Boatman's, Inangahua,
in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick Brennan. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Con-
naught Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
north of the Munster Gold-Mining lease application,
Boatman's, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick Brennan. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Shot-
over Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
west of the Shotover Gold-Mining Company's lease,
Murray Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-
West Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick Brennan. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Munster
Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, west of
the Ulster lease application, Boatman's, Inangahua,
in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this

sand eight hundred and eighty-two.

it is intended to conduct the business: "The Wide
Awake Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
adjoining the Hope Gold-Mining Company, north
side Plateau, Waimangaroa, in the Nelson South-
West Mining District.

Applicant: Zoffany Claude Horne. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Lady-
bird Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
north of and adjoining the Golden Year Quartz-
Mining Company, Cascade Creek, Waimangaroa, in
the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Zoffany Claude Horne. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business:
"Merksworth Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres
2 roods, north of and adjoining the Sovereign Com-
pany's application, Cascade Creek, Waimangaroa, in
the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Richard Killeen. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Ban-
