A POLL having been taken of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Patea, on Wednesday, the 23rd August,
1882, on the proposal of the Council of the Borough
of Patea to raise a special loan of ten thousand
pounds upon the security of the revenue of the
borough, and a special rate not exceeding sixpence
in the pound, for the purpose of executing the fol-
lowing works: Streets and pathways formation,
gravelling, and drainage, and Council offices; and the
number of votes recorded—
