Rechabite Hall Company to be dissolved.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District.

In the matter of the Rechabite Hall Company (Limited), and in the matter of “The Limited Liability Joint-Stock Companies Dissolution Act, 1872.”

I, ALEXANDER SUTHERLAND ALLAN, Registrar of the Supreme Court for the District of Wellington, do hereby notify that an affidavit, copy of which is hereunder given, by Mr. F. H. Fraser, Manager and Secretary of the Rechabite Hall Company (Limited), has been lodged in the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, and forwarded to me; and that, unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said Company to be dissolved, in manner provided by “The Limited Liability Joint-Stock Companies Dissolution Act, 1872.”

In the matter of the Rechabite Hall Company (Limited), incorporated under “The Joint-Stock Companies Act, 1860.”

I, FRANCIS HUMPHRIES FRASER, Manager and Secretary of the Rechabite Hall Company (Limited), do hereby make oath and say,—

  1. That the nominal capital of the said Company is £1,500, in 1,500 shares of £1 each.

  2. That the shares have been fully paid up.

  3. That all the shares and assets of the said Company having become vested in one ownership, the Company, as such, has in fact ceased to exist and to carry on its operations; and I do hereby apply for a declaration of dissolution of such Company.

Te Makarini Scholarships.

THREE scholarships, to be held at the Native College, Te Aute, Hawke’s Bay, are offered by the Trustees of the fund instituted in memory of the late Sir Donald McLean for promoting the higher education of Maori youths.

Two of these scholarships are open to any Maori or half-caste whose age on the 30th November, 1882, shall not exceed fifteen years, and who shall have attended a Native college or school for the preceding twelve months. The remaining scholarship is open to any Maori or half-caste whose age on the 30th November, 1882, shall not exceed thirteen years, and who shall have attended a Native village school for the preceding twelve months.

The scholarships are of the annual value of £35, and are tenable for two years from the 1st January, 1883.

The examination will be held at convenient centres on the 18th and 19th December, 1882. Candidates must, either directly or through their teachers, send notice to the Inspector of Native Schools, Education Department, Wellington, of their intention to present themselves for examination. Such notice must be posted not later than the 31st October.

Copies of the regulations and forms of notice may be obtained from teachers of Native schools and boarding institutions, the Secretaries to Education Boards, or the Secretary to the Education Department.

Lithographic plans will be exhibited at all the Railway-stations and Post Offices throughout the colony, and copies can be obtained at any Land Office.
