in Council of the same date, made and issued under
"The Public Reserves Act, 1877," aforesaid, dele-
gated to Elias De La Perrelle, Andrew Cunningham
Thomson, Robert Pritchard, William Tiley Smith,
and William Jenkins:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, by virtue and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by "The Public Domains
Act, 1881," and by and with the advice of the Exe-
cutive Council of the said colony, do hereby revoke
the Order in Council delegating the Governor's
powers to the above-named persons; and do hereby
further delegate, in respect of the lands referred to
in the aforesaid Orders in Council, all the powers
conferred by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," except
the powers under or conferred by sections five and
twelve, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be
known as the Arrowtown Domain Board:—

WILLIAM TILEY SMITH,
WILLIAM JENKINS, and
WILLIAM SCOLES
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of
business on the first Monday in each month, at seven
o'clock p.m., at the Arrow Athenæum, Arrowtown,
or at such other time or place as may from time to
time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall
be held on Monday, the fourth day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chair-
man or by any two members of the Board, provided
that two days' notice of such meeting be given to
each member, specifying the business to be transacted
at such special meeting, and no other business than
that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting. -
Any three of the said Board shall form a
quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time
to time. -
The members of the Board shall, at their first
meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be
held on the second Monday in January in every suc-
ceeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to
be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and
shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The
Chairman shall hold office until the election of his
successor. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present
at the time appointed for holding the same, the mem-
bers present shall choose some one of their number
to be Chairman of such meeting. -
If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or other-
wise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant,
the members may at any monthly or special meeting
appoint a Chairman. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority
of votes of the members of the Board present at a
meeting.

Waitakerei West Highway District, County of
Waitemata.

UNDER and in pursuance of an Act of the Pro-
vince of Auckland intituled "The Highways
Act, 1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces
Act, 1875," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do

hereby notify that I do hereby bring the said "High-
ways Act, 1874," into operation in the Waitakerei
West Highway District; and I further notify that I
do hereby appoint the thirteenth day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, at one
o'clock, at the Oratia Hotel, Henderson's, to be the
day, hour, and place for the first meeting of rate-
payers for the said district; and I appoint John
O'Neill to be the Chairman of such meeting.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
twenty-third day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.

Changing Purpose of a Reserve in Otago.

IN pursuance of the sixth section of "The Public
Reserves Act, 1881," it is hereby notified that,
in the opinion of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, it is expedient to change the
purpose of the land described in the second column
of the Schedule hereto, from the purposes named in
the first column, to the purpose named in the third
column of the said Schedule hereto.
