ment has been pleased to appoint
WILLIAM SHANAGHAN
to be the Returning Officer to conduct the first
election of Commissioners of the Papakura Town
District, as constituted under "The Town Districts
Act, 1881;" also to appoint Wednesday, the 13th
September, 1882, at the Papakura Hall, Papakura,
to be the time and place for holding such first
election; also to appoint Wednesday, the 20th
September, 1882, at noon, at the said Papakura
Hall, to be the time and place for holding the first
meeting of the Commissioners.

Revoking Authority to Inspectors of Sheep to receive
Sheep Rate, and authorizing Postmasters at Money
Order Offices as Receivers.-Notice No. 126.

HIS Excellency the Administrator of the Govern-
ment has been pleased to revoke the authority
given on the 14th March, 1879, to Chief Inspectors
and Inspectors of Sheep appointed under "The
Sheep Act, 1878," to receive the sheep rate, and to
authorize Postmasters at any post office where there
is a money order office to be the persons to receive
the sheep rate under the provisions of the said Act.

Notice of proposed Addition to the Borough of the
City of Auckland (Grafton Road).

AN application having been made to the Adminis-
trator of the Government to incorporate into
the Borough of the City of Auckland the lands
hereunder described, His Excellency directs it to be
notified that, unless within two months from the
date of the public notification hereof a petition or
petitions, as required by "The Municipal Corpora-
tion Acts Amendment Act, 1880," is or are pre-
sented to His Excellency, he will proceed to incor-
porate the said land into the Borough of the City of
Auckland, and constitute the said land a separate
ward of the said borough, to be called the Grafton
Ward.
The description of the land proposed to be added
is as follows: All that district known as the Grafton
Road Highway District.

Rules for the Management of the Waiau Cemetery,
County of Amuri.

THE following rules for the management of the
Waiau Cemetery, having been submitted to His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government in
Council, are published in accordance with "The
Cemeteries Management Act, 1877."

RULES FOR INTERMENT IN THE WALAU CEMETERY.
-
The exclusive right of burial in any plot of
ground in this cemetery shall be purchasable at the
rate of 5s. per square yard, payable at the time of
selection of the site; failing which, after the lapse of
one year, the same shall remain open for selection. -
No burial-plot shall be less than 9 feet in depth,
nor contain, less than four square yards, viz., 9 feet
by 4 feet. -
No person shall hold more than eight of such
plots. -
Persons not desirous of purchasing the exclusive
right of burial may cause burials to take place by
paying to the Trustees the sum of 10s. for each such
interment, in addition to the usual burial-fees. -
Applicants for burial-plots, exclusive or other-
wise, can select any spot in any section on applica-
tion to the Secretary, or any person duly authorized,
who is hereby empowered to mark off the same on
payment of the sum fixed by the regulations. -
Each plot is to be staked off at the four corners
with durable stakes at least 1 foot above the level
of the ground. -
The holders of any plots of burial-ground shall
observe such rules with regard to enclosing, fencing,
and decent maintenance of the same, as shall from
time to time be laid down by the Trustees.
