Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or
before the 30th day of August, 1882.

Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Reefton.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: Philip Alexander and W. G. Collings.
Style under which it is intended to conduct the
business: "Adonis Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres
2 roods, south of the Result Special Claim, Inanga-
hua, in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Patrick Quirke Caples. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Long
Tunnel Quartz-Mining Company (Limited)." 16
acres 2 roods, bounded on the North and West by
Caples's Nos. 2 and 3 applications, Larry's Creek,

Applicant: James Anderson. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The London-
derry Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16 acres
2 roods, bounded on the North by the Annandale
Company's lease application, Yorkey's Creek, Ina-
ngahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: James Kidd. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "The British
Queen Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16 acres
2 roods, south of the South Golden Treasure lease,


Conditions of Sale of Village-settlement Lands.

  1. The village-settlement cash and deferred-pay-
    ment lands shall be open for application at the prices
    stated opposite each allotment, at the Land Offices at
    Patea and Hawera, on Wednesday, the 6th September
    aforesaid, subject to the provisions of Part III. of
    "The Land Act, 1877," relating to rural land, in cases
    where the allotments exceed an area of twenty acres,
    and to the provisions of the said Part III. relating to
    suburban land, in cases where the area is twenty
    acres or under.

  2. No person shall be allowed to acquire more than
    one section upon either immediate or deferred pay-
    ments.

  3. If there should be more than one application
    for any allotment offered for cash, the right to pur-
    chase the same shall be determined by auction
    amongst the applicants only, and, if there should
    be more than one application for any allotment
    offered for deferred payments, the right to occupy
    the same shall be determined by lot amongst the
    applicants.

  4. Each applicant for a deferred-payment section
    will be required to make the declaration prescribed
    by section sixty-two of "The Land Act, 1877," and
    shall at the time of application deposit with the
    Receiver of Land Revenue for the West Coast Land
    District one-tenth of the price if the area of the
    allotment is twenty acres or under, and one-twentieth
    of the price if the area is greater than twenty acres.
    Such payment shall be deemed to be a discharge of
    the license-fee for the six months ending the 31st
    December, 1882.

  5. The purchaser of any lands sold for cash, upon
    the full payment of the purchase-money, and the
    purchaser of any lands sold on deferred payments,
    upon the payment of the deposit mentioned in
    clause five, and also the fulfilment of the terms and
    conditions prescribed by "The Land Act, 1877,"
    and "The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879,"
    relating to land on deferred payments, will be entitled
    to his Crown grant, to be issued in the usual way
    upon payment of the fees prescribed by law.
