of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and author-
ities vested in him, and by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby order and direct that all provisions of
"The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," shall come
into force in respect of the public cemetery at Ha-
wera, in the Provincial District of Taranaki, and
known as the Hawera Cemetery, as the same is de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto; and, in further
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me, I do, with the like advice and consent
as aforesaid, order and direct that this order shall
come into force on the day of the date hereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Taranaki, being Section No. 33, in the Township of
Hawera. Bounded towards the North by a public
road 1 chain wide, 743 links; towards the East by
a public road 1 chain wide, 1333 links; towards
the South by a public road 1 chain wide, 210 links
and 573 links; and towards the West by Section No.
30, 1279 links.

Macrae's Public Cemetery brought under "The
Cemeteries Management Act, 1877."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of July, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty-nine of "The
Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," it is,
amongst other things, enacted that, where the Trus-
tees of any public cemetery, or the Trustees, Mana-
gers, or other persons having the care and control of
any other cemetery, burial-ground, or place of burial
heretofore established, shall be desirous of adopting
the provisions of this Act, or any of them, in the
place of any Act or Ordinance, or any provisions of
such Act or Ordinance, heretofore regulating the
management of any such last-mentioned cemetery,
burial-ground, or place of burial, the said Trustees,
Managers, or other persons may apply to the Governor
in Council in that behalf, who may thereupon cause
inquiry to be made in such manner as he shall think
fit as to the desirability of granting such petition,
and the Governor may, by Order in Council, direct
that the provisions of this Act, or any of them, shall
come into force in respect of any such cemetery,
burial-ground, or place of burial, or he may reject
any such application:
And whereas the Trustees of the Macrae's Public
Cemetery have applied to the Governor to bring the
said cemetery under the provisions of the said Act,
and due inqury has been made in pursuance of the
said thirty-ninth section as to the desirability of
granting such petition:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and au-
thorities vested in him, and by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and direct that all pro-
visions of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877,"
shall come into force in respect of the public cemetery
at Macrae's, in the Provincial District of Otago, and
known as the Macrae's Cemetery, as the same is
described in the Schedule hereto; and, in further
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me, I do, with the like advice and consent
as aforesaid, order and direct that this order shall
come into force on the day of the date hereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, situate in the Highlay District, being cemetery
reserve for the Township of Macrae's, on the map of
the said town, containing by admeasurement 1 acre
and 37 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the
North-east by Crown lands, 258 links; towards the
South-east by Crown lands, 462 links; towards the
South-west by Crown lands, 250 links; and towards
the North-west by Crown lands, 525 links.

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
me in this behalf by the one hundred and sixty-
seventh section of "The Land Act, 1877," I, James
Prendergast, Chief Justice of the Colony of New
Zealand, and Administrator of the Government
thereof, do hereby withdraw from sale the land
described in the Schedule hereunder written.
SCHEDULE.
ALL the unsold Crown lands on both banks of the
River Clutha, for a width of 10 chains, from Coal
Creek, Block V., Teviot Survey District, to the inter-
section of the northern boundary of the Tuapeka
West Survey District with the banks of the Clutha
River.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
twenty-first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.

NOTE.βThe above warrant is republished in consequence of
"Coal Creek" having been printed "Cold Creek" in the war-
rant which appears at page 1002 of the New Zealand Gazette
No. 65, of the 27th July, 1882.

Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago,
Southland, and Westland.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Adminis-
trator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the
Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Nelson,
Canterbury, Otago, Southland, and Westland, de-
scribed in the Schedule hereunder written, for the
purposes in the said Schedule specified.
