Gold Fields Notices.

Nelson South-West Gold Fields. - Gold-Mining
Lease refused.

Crown Lands Office,
Nelson, 13th July, 1882.

NOTICE is hereby given that the gold-mining lease
applied for by Charles Holloway and John
Tobin, viz., 6 acres, three-quarters of a mile from
Hatter's Terrace, Nelson Creek, Grey, has been
refused; and the ground is now open to persons
holding miners' rights or business licenses as if a
lease of the said ground had not been applied for.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it

is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Ahaura on or before
the 3rd day of August, 1882.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Ahaura.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: John Rees, John Thomas, and Arthur
Rees. Style under which it is intended to conduct
the business: "Midas Gold-Mining Company."
10 acres, east of and adjoining Rees and party's lease,
Riverview, Ahaura, in the Nelson South-West Mining
District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this twelfth
day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two.
