HEREAS by a Royal Commission under the hand of His Excellency the Governor in Council dated
the twenty-second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, the undersigned was
appointed a Commissioner to inquire into the claims of all or any Aboriginal Native claiming to be owners
or otherwise beneficially interested in any of the reserves set apart for Native purposes in the Provincial
District of Wellington, or into the purposes and objects for which such lands may have been intended, and
in pursuance of such inquiry to take evidence on oath or otherwise, and to report to the Governor on the
same:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of such commission and direction I do hereby give notice that I shall on
Tuesday, the first day of August and following days, at the Maori Hostelry, Wellington, hold an inquiry
into the claims of the said Natives to the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written, and do call
on all such Natives claiming ownership or beneficial interest in such lands to appear at the above mentioned
date and place at ten o'clock in the forenoon.

Part of Block XV., containing 4 acres and 35 perches; part of Block XVA., containing 35 acres 1 rood
and 24 perches; and part of Block XVB., containing 18 acres and 35 perches,
HUTT DISTRICT.
All the unallotted portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 16, and part of 20, Lower Hutt.
