Crown Lands Notices.
Certain Land classed as Pastoral Land.
General Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 21st June, 1882.
IT is hereby notified that the Commissioners ap-
pointed by pursuance of the seventy-fifth section of
"The Land Act, 1877," have reported to His Excel-
lency the Governor that the land described in the
Schedule hereto shall be classified as pastoral land,
and the Governor has determined that the same
shall be disposed of as pastoral land upon deferred
payments, as provided by sections 76 to 85 inclusive
of "The Land Act, 1877."
SCHEDULE.
RUN No. 143. - SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area comprising 6,550 acres, more or less,
situated in the Wairio Survey District. Bounded
towards the North by Sections Nos. 16, 92, 33, and
38; towards the East by Sections Nos. 84, 87, and
15, and partly by Run No. 133; on the South and
South-west by lines of the following bearings and
distances respectively, viz., 15000 links bearing 303°,
6000 links bearing 270°, and 22000 links bearing
317° 22', to the southern angle of Section No. 16
aforesaid, the starting point.

Homestead System.
LAND DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.

Auckland, 2nd June, 1882.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in
the Land Board by "The Land Act, 1877," it
is hereby notified that the Rural Lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereunder will be open for selection,
under the Homestead System, on Tuesday, the 4th
July next.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY.
Okaihau Block.---1,000 acres first-class land. Ap-
plications for land to be made to Captain Burleigh,
at Okaihau.
WHANGAREI COUNTY.
Opuaawhanga Block (near Helena Bay). - 1,000
acres second-class land. Applications for this land
to be made to Mr. J. J. Wilson, Whangarei.
HOBSON COUNTY.
Wairau Block. - 1,000 acres second-class land.
Applications for this land to be made to the Chair-
man of the Wairau District Board.
Forms of application can be obtained, and maps of
the lands inspected, at this office, and at the resi-
dences of the gentlemen named above.
Rural Lands to be open for Selection.

selection at this office, on Tuesday, the 4th July,

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money
to be paid at time of application, and the balance
within one month thereafter, otherwise the part of
the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be
forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land
shall henceforward be null and void.
Crown-grant fee to be paid on completion of
purchase.
Leases of Reserves in Marlborough to be offered
at Auction.
LEASES of the under-mentioned Blocks of Land
in the Provincial District of Marlborough, will
be offered to public competition by auction, at the
Survey Office, Blenheim, on Tuesday, the 4th July,
1882, at noon, on the terms and conditions specified,
namely:---
2 acres, being part of Section No. 52, Picton
Suburban, now occupied by M. Sherrock. Term of
lease to be fourteen years; upset annual rent, £1.
If any person other than the present occupant be the
highest bidder, he shall pay at the auction, in addition
to a year's rent, the sum of £72 10s. as the value of
the improvements now upon the land. Should he
fail to do so, the lease will be immediately put up to
auction again at the upset annual rent. If at any
