PATENT for an Improvement by the Application
of Material more suitably adapted for Manu-
facturing Hydraulic Hose used by Gold-miners and
others.

GEORGE SIMMONS, of Kumara, Westland, has
deposited at this office a specification of the said
invention; and I have appointed Friday, the 4th day
of August next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, at this
office, to hear the said application and all objections
thereto; and I require all persons having an interest
in opposing the grant of such Letters Patent to leave,
on or before the 31st day of July next, at this office,
particulars in writing of their objections to the said
application, otherwise they will be precluded from
urging the same.

FREDERICK CROOK, of Christchurch, has deposited
at this office a specification of the said invention; and
I have appointed Friday, the 18th day of August
next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office,
to hear the said application and all objections thereto;
and I require all persons having an interest in
opposing the grant of such Letters Patent to leave,
on or before the 14th day of August next, at this
office, particulars in writing of their objections to
the said application, otherwise they will be precluded
from urging the same.

Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that
it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for
gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in
the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Arrowtown on or
before the 21st day of June, 1882.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Arrowtown.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: William Finlay Sligo. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Gang-
forward Gold-Mining Company." 8 acres 1 rood, in
the Wakatipu Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this
fifteenth day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two.

mining purposes to the applicants specified in the

and lodged with the Warden at Riverton on or before
the 23rd day of May, 1882.

and Cacace, for the Deep Creek Company, Lyell, in
the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this
fifteenth day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two.
