The first year's rent with the license fee shall be
paid on the fall of the hammer, and thereafter the
rent shall be paid half-yearly, in advance, on the 1st
March and the 1st September in each year.
Plans and further particulars can be obtained at
any of the Crown Lands Offices in the colony, and at
the Courthouse, Waiau.

THE following Licenses of Runs for a term of ten
years, commencing the 1st March, 1883, will
be offered by auction, at the Land Office, Invercar-
gill, on Wednesday, the 14th day of June proximo,
at 12 o'clock, at the upset rental of twopence
per acre per annum, under the general conditions
contained in "The Land Act, 1877," and "The Land
Act 1877 Amendment Act 1879." Plans showing
boundaries can be seen at the Survey Office, Inver-
cargill, and at all Land Offices throughout the
colony.
Run 176A, adjoining Burwood Station, on the
north base of Takitimo Mountains, about 10,480
acres. License for ten years. Upset rental, 2d. per
acres per annum.
Run 176B, Mararoa Station, on the Mararoa River,
about 14,700 acres. License for ten years. Upset
rental, 2d. per acre per annum.
SOUTHLAND COUNTY.
Run 1164, being a subdivision of the original
Croydon Run. Area, about 1,016 acres. License
for ten years. Upset rental, 2d. per acre per annum.

N OTICE is hereby given that ALFRED DE BATHE
BRANDON, of Wellington, Esquire, and WIL-
LIAM EDWARD STANLEY HICKSON, of the same place,
Commission Agent, have presented a petition in the
above matters, praying that the said lands and here.
ditaments, being part of Section numbered 553 on
the plan of the City of Wellington, may be sold
under the direction of this Supreme Court, and that
all proper inquiries may be made and directions given
for effecting such purpose; and that the cost of and
incident to such petition may be provided for: or
that such other order may be made in the premises
as to this Supreme Court shall seem meet; and it is
intended to apply to the said Court for an order in
accordance with such prayer, on the 6th day of June,
1882.
