HAWKE’S BAY COUNTY.
Meanee.—Commencing at the mouth of the Tutaekuri River in the Ahuriri Lagoon, following up that river to the western boundary of Block I., Puketapu; thence following the western boundary-line of that block to the north-west corner thereof; thence following the boundary-line between the Meanee Suburban Sections and the Puketapu District to the Ahuriri Lagoon; thence along the edge of that lagoon to the Western Spit; thence by a right line bearing east to the boundary of the Municipality of Napier; thence along that boundary to the northern boundary of the Whareomaranui Block, and along that boundary to the starting point at the mouth of the Tutaekuri River.
Heretaunga.—Commencing at the mouth of the Ngaruroro River, following along the sea-coast to the south boundary of the Municipality of Napier, and following along the southern and western boundaries of that municipality to the north-eastern boundary of Whareomaranui Block, along its north-western boundary to the mouth of the Tutaekuri River, up that river to the dry channel of the Tutaekuri at Pawhakairo, and up that channel to the Tutaekuriwaimate Stream; thence down that stream to the Waitio Stream, up that stream to where the Ngaruroro River flows into it, and thence down the old bed of the Ngaruroro River to the northern boundary of the Havelock Licensing District; and from thence along that boundary and the western boundary of the Clive Licensing District to the starting point at the mouth of the Ngaruroro River.
Puketapu.—Bounded towards the North by Clyde Licensing District and East Taupo County; towards the West by East Taupo County to Trig. Station 65A; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of the Matapiro Native Block; thence towards the South-west by said Native block; towards the South and East by the Heretaunga and Meanee Licensing Districts and the ocean to the Waihua River.
Clive.—Bounded towards the North and East by the ocean; towards the South by Waipawa County to the north-east corner of Block LXVIII., Oëro District; thence towards the West along the western boundary of the Waimarama Native Block to the Ngamangatawa Stream, down that stream and the Maraeototara Stream to the southern boundary of Block XII., Kidnapper District, along that boundary to the Mangangarara Stream, down that stream to the Tukituki River; thence down that river to a point bearing due east (magnetic) from the Te Mata Trig. Station, from that point running in a straight line to said trig. station, and from thence along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Havelock Suburban Section No. 44 and the north-eastern boundaries of Havelock Suburban Sections Nos. 43, 32, 11, 12, and 52 to the Ngaruroro River; thence down that river to the mouth of the Tataekuriwaimate Stream, up that stream to A. McHardy’s south boundary, and along his boundary through the Pakowhai Native Block to the Te Puinga Native Block; thence along the boundary between the Pakowhai and Te Puinga Blocks to the south-east boundary of Section No. 12, Papakura, and along that boundary to the Totara Creek, down that creek to the Waitangi Creek, down said creek to Waitangi Bridge on the main road; thence along main road to north-east boundary of Taumatau Block, along that boundary to Waitangi Creek, down that creek to Ngaruroro River, and down that river to its mouth.
Havelock.—Bounded towards the North by East Taupo County; towards the West by Wanganui County; towards the South-west and South by the Rangitikei, Manawatu, and Waipawa Counties; towards the East and North-east by Clive, Heretaunga, and Puketapu Licensing Districts.
WAIPAWA COUNTY.
Norsewood.—Commencing at the junction of the Wangai and Mangapuaka Streams at the western boundary of the Porangahau Licensing District, follows down the Mangapuaka Stream to the Manawatu River, up that river to its junction with the Mangatewainui River, and up that river to a point due east from the south-east corner of Rural Section No. 1, Whakaruatapu; from that point running in a straight line due west to the said corner of Section No. 1; thence along the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 1 and 2 to the Whakaruatapu Stream; thence running in a straight line due west to the summit of the Ruahine Range, along the summit of that range to the southern boundary of the Ruataniwha Licensing District, and thence along the south and west boundaries of that district to the starting point at the junction of the Wangai and Mangapuaka Streams.
Woodville.—Starts at the trig. station on Whahataura at the western boundary of the Porangahau Licensing District, follows along that boundary to the southern boundary of the Norsewood Licensing District, along that boundary to the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence along the boundary of Manawatu County to the Wairarapa West County; thence along the boundaries of the Wairarapa West and East Counties to the starting point at the trig. station at Whahataura.
Waipawa.—Bounded towards the North by Hawke’s Bay County; towards the East by the Patangata Licensing District; towards the South by the centre of the Waipawa River to the junction of the north and south branches of that river; thence up the centre of the northern branch of the Waipawa River to its junction with the Makaroro River at the southern boundary of the Hawke’s Bay County.
Patangata.—Bounded towards the South by the Porangahau Licensing District to the Tangatupuru Stream; thence towards the West down that stream and the Mangatarata Stream to the Tukituki River; thence up that river to its junction with the Waipawa River, and up the Waipawa River to the eastern boundary of Block XLVI., Patangata District, follows along the eastern boundary of Blocks XLVI. and XLVII. and the northern boundary of Block XLVII. to the middle of Te Aute Road, along the middle of the Te Aute Road to the road from Patangata to Te Aute; thence towards the North by Hawke’s Bay County to the ocean; and towards the East by the ocean.
Ruataniwha.—Bounded towards the North-east by Waipawa Licensing District and Patangata Licensing District; towards the East and South by the Patangata, Porangahau, and Norsewood Licensing Districts; and towards the West by Manawatu County.
Porangahau.—Bounded towards the South by the Wairarapa East County to the Whahautara Trig. Station; thence towards the West along the western boundary of the Tautane Block to its north-western extremity; thence in a line bearing north-north-east to the source of the Tangaruhe Creek; thence in a line bearing north-west to the southernmost corner of Block LXXVII., Porangahau District, on the Mangapuaka Creek, down that creek to the Wangai Stream, up that stream and along the western boundary of Block LVI. to the Tauraekaitai Stream; thence down that stream to the western boundary of Block XXXVII., along that boundary to the Purinui Stream, and up that stream to the western boundary of Block VII., along that boundary
