Naseby.
TAKE notice that, being the holder of water license
No. 1821, dated 17th November, 1881, for irri-
gation, machinery, and domestic purposes, I desire to
construct two reservoirs (or dams) in connection
therewith for the storage of water. These dams will
be situated near the line of race at a point about 10
chains on the north side of Section 18, Block II.,
Eweburn Run, Maniototo Survey District, on the
west side of main race No. 1. Dam: Length at base,
about 300 feet; breadth, 12 feet; height, 6 feet;
area, about 1/2 acre. No. 2 dam, immediately above
No. 1 dam: Length, 150 feet; breadth, 12 feet;
height, 6 feet; area, about 1/2 acre. In connection
with these dams I desire to construct three small
branch races—No. 1, about 300 feet in length; No.
2, about 150 feet in length; No. 3, about 300 feet in
length—for the purpose of leading water from main
race to the dams and returning same to main race.
These races will average about 2 feet broad and 1
foot deep. And in connection with my main race I
hereby give notice that I desire to construct two
other branch races: No. 1 to commence about 5
chains below the Government Water-race, on the
west side of Chain Gully, and terminate in my race
1821; No. 2 race to commence in my main race
1821, on the west side of Chain Gully, about a mile
above said Section 18, Block II., to cross Chain
Gully, pass through said Section 18, Block II., on
the east side of Chain Gully, and terminate on Sec-
tion 17, same block. Length of No. 1 race, about
2 miles; breadth, 2 feet; depth, 1 foot. Length of
No. 2 race, about 2 miles; breadth, 18 inches;
depth, 1 foot. Estimated time for construction, nine
months.
Dated at Naseby, this 6th day of April, 1882.
ROBERT PETER BOTTING.

this application must, within thirty clear days from the
date of such application, lodge his objection at the
