PATENT for an Invention for giving an Enamel to Freestone, dressed or undressed, by the action of Fire and Limestone, the whole to be called and to be known as “The McCaffrey Enamelling Process.”

EDWARD JOSEPH MCCAFFREY, of Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand, Quarryman, has deposited at this office a specification of the said invention; and I have appointed Friday, the 28th day of July next, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the said application and all objections thereto; and I require all persons having an interest in opposing the grant of such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 24th day of July next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objections to the said application, otherwise they will be precluded from urging the same.

Terms and Conditions of Sale.

The licenses of the above runs will be sold subject to the general provisions as to runs specified in “The Land Act, 1877,” and “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879.”

The first year’s rent with the license fee shall be paid on the fall of the hammer, and thereafter the rent shall be paid half-yearly, in advance, on the 1st March and the 1st September in each year.

Plans and further particulars can be obtained at any of the Crown Lands Offices in the colony, and at the Courthouse, Waiau.

Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Gold-Mining Lease under “The Gold Fields Act, 1866.”

Wellington, 17th April, 1882.

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned application for a gold-mining lease has been withdrawn, and that the ground is now open for application as if a lease of the same had never been applied for:—

The application of William Charles Roberts, Thomas Coleman, and Antonio Dominick, dated the 12th November, 1877, for 6 acres, situate at Owen’s Look-out, Nelson Creek.
