PATENT for Improvements in Fire Bridges suitable
for Locomotives Portable Engines.
JOHN ALVES, of Dunedin, Engineer, has deposited
at this office a specification of the said invention; and
I have appointed Friday, the 14th day of July next, at
10 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the
said application and all objections thereto; and I
require all persons having an interest in opposing the
grant of such Letters Patent to leave, on or before
the 10th day of July next, at this office, particulars
in writing of their objections to the said application,
otherwise they will be precluded from urging the
same.

1880," an election of one person as Governor of the

BOUSFIELD, of the same place, Engineer, have de-
posited at this office a specification of the said in-

of June next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, at this
office, to hear the said application and all objections

by the persons authorized to do so by subsection 2 of

New South Wales, a solicitor of the Supreme
Court of New South Wales, has been this day ap-
pointed by his Honor the Chief Justice a Commis-
sioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, under
the second section of "The Commissioners of the
Supreme Court Act, 1875," for the purpose of taking
any oath, affidavit, or affirmation, as in the said
section mentioned.

Gold Fields Notices.
Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Havelock on or
before the 8th day of May, 1882.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Havelock.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: James Byrne. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "Royal Standard
Gold-Mining and Quartz-Crushing Company." 16
