NOTICE. — JOHN WALCOTT FOSBERT, of Mel-
bourne, in the Colony of Victoria, an attorney
of the Supreme Court of the said colony, has been
appointed this day, by his Honor the Chief Justice,
a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zea-
land, in the said colony, under the second section of
"The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act,
1875," for the purpose of administering and taking
all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the
said section mentioned.

Justice, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of
New Zealand, in the said colony, under the second
section of "The Commissioners of the Supreme Court
Act, 1875," for the purpose of administering and
taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as
in the said section mentioned.

JAMES LOGAN WILSON, of Ryal Bush, Invercargill,
New Zealand, Settler, has deposited at this office a
specification of the said invention; and I have ap-
pointed Friday, the 24th day of March next, at 10
o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the said
application and all objections thereto; and I require
all persons having an interest in opposing the grant
of such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the
20th day of March next, at this office, particulars in
writing of their objections to the said application,
otherwise they will be precluded from urging the
same.

Gold-Mining Lease.—Notice of Withdrawal of Ap-
plication.

Crown Lands Office,
Nelson, 6th January, 1882.
IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned
application for a gold-mining lease has been
withdrawn, viz. :—
The application of Francis McGrane and Thomas
McGrane, Amalgamation Gold-Mining Company; 4
acres, situate at Appoo's Gully, Collingwood, in the
Collingwood Gold-Mining District.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.
Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Westport on or
before the 26th day of January, 1882.
Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Westport.

SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: Charles Lampfert. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Morning
Star Quartz-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
