Opakau, near Tarawera Lake Commence at Otangimoana, Tuparetataka, Te Tumu Wahinctekura, Te Houhou, Te Akeake, turn southward to Tarawera Lake, Te Tawa-tomotomo, Mangataua, turn to Tarawera Lake, proceed along its margin as far as Otamakairoa, Te Tuhi o Ngaoho, Ngabana, Wharetere, Omanuhiri, as far as Otangimoana, the starting point.
Hori Kerei Te Rangihiron, Wi Hapi Kerei, Parakaia Kerei, and others Tikorangi, near Rotorua Commences at the junction of Rahopaka and Matahana River, proceed to Rangiaho and on to Ngaroto, turns to Matakatau, Manga-haraheke, Mangakokomuka, Te Tokoroa, turns to Wai-whakaurunga, Te Roto, turns to Waimaruru, Kererutauaro, Pokurutetaha, Te Pou-a-Rangitihi, descends Waihuka as far as the starting point, the junction of Matahana and Rahopaha.
Kerei Te Rangihiroa, Parakaia Kerei, Wi Hapi Kerei, and Kahera Te Whareururua. Te Koutu, near Rotorua Commence at the mouth of Utuhina river, pro-ceed along the side of Rotorua Lake to Te Huaki, turn to the ancestral boundary to Ngongotaha mountain, to a mark in the river beyond, proceed along that river to Mokorau, turn to the east, as far as Oreko, turn to Utuhina, proceed along the Utuhina River as far as Lake Rotorua, the starting point.
Pokai Taiapo, and Whititera Te Waiatua Te Haka No. 9, near Ohinemutu Stones are the boundaries. Survey completed in 1874.
Whititera Te Waiatua Orara No. 1, near Ohine-mutu Ditches are the boundaries on the land sides: the river of Utuhina on the north.
Atareta Wiremu Kingi, Te Hi-kamate Wi Hapi, and Wa-hanga Tamehana Taumataherea, near Ro-torua Commence at the stone cave at Utuhina, run along the western side, continue along the northern side of Ngahu's house, continue, and cut through the middle of Arekatera's house, turn to the Kahukura River, arrive at Putoe-toe, turn and cross to the river, run outside Te Ata, arrive at the hill covered with manuka scrub, turn again to the river, to Utuhina; the boundaries are all marked by stones.
Te Kowhai Tarahina, Whititera Te Waiatua, Menehira Taia-mai, Matia, Hemi Kokiri, and others Te Tuhingamata, near Rotorua Commence at Taherewahine, Ipuhue, Te Manea, Huatawa, Te Pa o Whakiekie, Opua, Te Roto-kura, Takurahimokai, Te Arawaere, Waipouri, Tuakahakaha, Te Iringa o Tuatara, Tutanekai, Hinemoa, turn to the north, Waihirere, Te Ramatiti, turn to the East, Te Ngaere, Te Moko o Tutanekai, Kaorewhare, cross over Waiteti, Otamakura, Pongahuru, Ngakohatu-turua, Te Mataniho, Tirotirowhetu, Kohatu-tangoke, turn to the South, proceed along the line ceded by us to H. Tuati, close up to Taherewahine, and stop.
Manahi Te Kaiamo ... Tarewa, near Ohinemutu Enclosed within a fence. My house is in it: area, about an acre, at the road side.
Te Puango Matenga, Manahi Te Kaiamo, Whiripo Te Puui, and Hariata Whiripo Te Hauhau, near Ohine-mutu Te Hautu, Te Takapou, Te Onepu, turn, Wai-papa, Puketoromiro, turn, Rangiapiri, Pae-whenua, turn, Te Hautu, and close up to the starting point.
W. M. Hikairo, Eréatara Ara-huna, Ratana Te Kapaiwaho, Makuini, Te Whetu, and others Te Papa, Ohau, near Rotorua Commence at the mouth of Ohau, proceed along that river to Pungapungatataka, turn to the South, proceed along the side of Te Rangi-whakakapua, turn to the West, Pukaretu, turn to the North, proceed along the side of the Lake Rotorua to the starting point at Ohau.
Hamuera Te Kaingamate, Te Tupara Tokoaitua, Okiwi Ngatara, and Patanui Poihipi Oruawhata, near Roto-rua Commence at Pirikohatu, Tahererauti, turn to the South, proceed along the side of Lake Rotorua, Motutara, turn inland, Te Pupuni-tanga, turn to the South, proceed along the beach of Te Arikiroa, the mouth of Puarenga, proceed up the river, Ngapuna, the bridge, turn to the North, proceed along the road, Te Pohuehue, Te Wharau o Tahora, turn to the North, Maharo, and close up at Pirikohatu.
