The sections in Block XIII., Kaupokonui, abut on
the continuous Native reserve, between the Aurora
Road and the Oeo River.
The sections in Block V., Ngaire, lie to the west-
ward of the Waingongoro River, and are connected
with the railway-line by cleared road-lines.
The bush is mainly light timber, soft woods, and a
few rata, and the land is well watered.
Terms of Sale: For the cash lands, one-fourth of
the purchase-money to be paid at the sale, and the
balance to a Receiver of Land Revenue at Patea or
Hawera within one calendar month from date of sale,
otherwise the deposit will be forfeited, and the con-
tract for the sale of the land thenceforth be null and
void. Crown-grant fee to be paid on completion of
the purchase.
Lithographed plans of the land may be seen on
application at any Land Office in the colony.
Applicants for any of the deferred-payment lands
may send their applications and deposits, with statu-
tory declaration, as required by "The Land Act,
1877," through post to Land Office, Patea, to arrive
on or before Monday, the 20th February. Envelopes
should be marked, "Application for deferred-payment
land, Kaupokonui Survey District," or "Ngaire
Survey District."

Description. — The above sections are mostly
covered with bush; some are undulating agricultural
land, with good soil, and well watered; some are
broken, and more suited for pastoral purposes.
The bush consists chiefly of tawa, interspersed with
rimu, matai, and white pine.
The land is situated from one to three miles from
the proposed railway-line and main road, Napier to
Wellington. Access is given by cleared roads; a
good dray-road from Woodville has been formed
through the centre of the block, connecting with the
road leading through Kumeroa to the Upper Mana-
watu Ferry, on the road to Masterton.

Description.—Section 39, Victoria Settlement, is
bush land, partially improved. The Bush Mills
Settlement is in the Woodville District, about two
and a half miles from the Township of Woodville,
and about one and a half miles from the Napier-
Wellington coach road and proposed railway-line.
Section 12 is partly flat and partly hilly. Sections
17 and 18 are hilly.
