Shooting Season for Deer in Nelson.

A. GORDON, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," and "The Animals
Protection Act Amendment Act, 1881," I, Arthur
Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby notify that stags may be
taken or killed within the Nelson District from the
twenty-first day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two, to the twenty-third day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two,
both inclusive. And I do hereby notify that licenses
to take or kill such game within the said district
shall be issued on payment of the sum of one pound
each; and that licenses to sell such game shall be
issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each,
and the Commissioner of Crown Lands at Nelson is
hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two.

to be a Deputy-Inspector of the Dunedin and Seacliff
Lunatic Asylums under the said Act; and also to
appoint

GEORGE BOUTFLOWER DAVY, Esq., J.P.,

to be an Official Visitor of the Wellington Lunatic
Asylum under the said Act.
