NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
Tuapeka, 18th October, 1881.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point in creek near north-
west corner of Section 24, Block VI., Table Hill
District; then in an easterly direction through Sec-
tions 24, 18, 12, and 37, all in Block VI., Table Hill
District, and terminating at a point near the south
west corner, of Section 37, joining race from Fisher's
Creek.
The length of such race is one mile or thereabouts,
and its intended course is east. The mean depth of
such race is 9 inches, and the mean breadth is 1
foot, and it is proposed to divert one Government-
head of water.

Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Lawrence within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof.
Hearing at Lawrence, at 11 o'clock on Friday, the

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a
Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point in Fisher's Creek
about two miles from its junction with Tokomairiro
River (east branch), running south-east of Sections
4 and 3, Block VIII., and Sections 38, 26, 37, 12,
and 36, Block VI., Table Hill District, and termi-
nating at my claim in Section 36, Block VI., Table
Hill District.
The length of such race is eight miles or there-
abouts, and its intended course is south-east. The
mean depth of such race is 1 foot, and the mean
breadth is 2 feet, and it is proposed to divert five
Government-heads of water.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
general meeting of Shareholders of the above
Company, held at the office of the Company, Queen
Street, Auckland, on the 12th day of October, 1881,
the following resolution was passed: "That the
Auckland Steamship Company be wound-up volun-
tarily; and that Mr. WILLIAM LODDER be appointed
sole Liquidator."

DONAGHY'S SOUTH DUNEDIN ROPE-WALK.
I HAVE disposed of all my interest in the business
lately carried on by me as a Rope Manufacturer
in South Dunedin, and all the property in connection
therewith, to Messrs. BENJAMIN THROP, the Younger,
and others, of Dunedin, who will in future carry on
the said business under the style of "M. Donaghy
and Co.," and discharge all the liabilities due by, and
receive all the debts due to, me in connection with
the said business.

MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS REGISTRATION.
I JOSEPH FAULKNER, Member of the Royal Col-
lege of Surgeons of England, and Licentiate
of the Royal College of Physicians of London, re-
siding in Dunedin, hereby give notice of my intention
to apply to have my name registered as a Medical
Practitioner under "The Medical Practitioners Act,
1869," one month after the publication of this notice;
and that I have deposited my diplomas, with a copy
of this notice, in the office of the Registrar for the
District of Dunedin, for public inspection, in terms
of section 14 of the said Act.

of December next, to have my name placed on the
Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of
New Zealand; and that I have deposited in your
office my diploma, in terms of "The Medical Practi-

branch that it is the intention of the Registrar to
proceed, on the 10th day of January, 1882, to cancel
the registry of the branch, unless cause be shown
to the contrary in the meantime.
The ground of such proposed cancelling is that
the branch has, in terms of the General Laws of the
Order, ceased to exist.
