14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, Block II., on the plan of the
said township, and containing 3½ acres, more or less.
Bounded on the North by Karaka Street; on the
East by Sections Nos. 8 and 19 of the said block;
on the South by Patukupa Street; and on the West
by Tauranga-ika Street: as the same is delineated on
the official maps in the Survey Office at Patea. For
a school site.

SOUTHLAND.

All that piece or parcel of land containing 1 acre
1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Section No.
12, Block LXXVI., Town of Invercargill. Bounded
towards the North by Wood Street, 523·6 links;
towards the East by Clyde Street, 96·8 links;
towards the South by Section No. 11 of aforesaid
block, 208 links; again towards the East by said
Section No. 11, 240 links; again towards the South
by Forth Street, 292 links; and towards the West
by Liddel Street, 470·8 links. For a market-place.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Division
of the Provincial District of Otago, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood 3 perches, more or less, being
Section No. 10, Block XXII., on the map of the
Town of Winton. Bounded towards the North-east
by Section No. 11 of said block, 359·4 links; towards
the East by a right-of-way, 76 links; towards the
South-west by Section No. 9 of said block, 358·8
links; and towards the North-west by the Great
North Road, 76 links. For municipal purposes.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Division
of the Provincial District of Otago, containing by
admeasurement 33 perches, more or less, being Sec-
tion No. 4, Block XXIII., on the map of the Town
of Winton. Bounded on the North by Section No. 5
of said block, 233·5 links; towards the East by a rail-
way reserve, 80·4 links; on the South by Section
No. 3 of said block, 278·9 links; and towards the
North-west by the Great North Road, 95·8 links.
For municipal purposes.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Division
of the Provincial District of Otago, containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods, more or less, being
Sections Nos. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20,
21, 22, and 23, Block X., on the map of the Town of
Winton. Bounded on the North by John Street,
700 links; on the East by Sections Nos. 14 and 16
of said block, 500 links; on the South by Essex
Street, 700 links; and on the West by a road-line,
500 links. For a recreation-ground.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Division
of the Provincial District of Otago, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood 27 perches, more or less,
being the Market Reserve, as shown on the map of
the Town of Winton. Bounded towards the North-
east by Wemyss Street, 295·5 links; towards the
South-east by Meldrum Street, 287 links; on the
South by Meldrum Street aforesaid, 101 links; and
[No. 96
towards the North-west by Park Street, 227 links.
As a site for a market.

Governor, this third day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-

Exchange of Land in the Provincial District of
Canterbury.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-eighth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," power is
given to the Governor to exchange any land set apart
as a reserve for other land of equal value as he may
think fit, and to make a Crown grant thereof ac-
cordingly:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief Jus-
tice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Adminis-
trator of the Government thereof, in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said
Act, do hereby declare that the land mentioned in
the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be
exchanged for the land mentioned in the second
column of the said Schedule.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then
held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which, in his opinion, are required for any of the purposes in
the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the one hundred and forty-fifth section of the said Act it is provided that land tempo-
rarily reserved under the said one hundred and forty-fourth section may, at the expiration of one month
