NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Mount Ida, 6th October, 1881.
To the Mining Registrar at Naseby, in the Mount
Ida District, and to all others whom it may con-
cern.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for irriga-
tion, chaff-cutting, and domestic purposes, commencing
at a point in Coal Creek, on Run 205. I also give
notice that I intend to construct a dam for the
storage of water in connection with my water-race;
area, 3/4 acre, situate on the hill to the west of Section
No. 15, Block II., Township of Hyde. From dam I
will cut a race, to use as a by-wash, on to Section No.
18, Block II., Township of Hyde. I also give notice
that I intend to construct a race from the said dam
to Section No. 14, Block II., 2 feet by 2 feet, to lay
down iron piping, and will be covered over when
completed. The reservoir is estimated to contain
60,000 gallons of water or thereabouts. I also
intend to construct a race from Section No. 14,
Block II., to the Hyde Main Gully, and the said
race will terminate opposite Sections Nos. 1 and 2,
Block III., Township of Hyde.

The length of such race is two miles or thereabouts,
and its intended course is north-east.

This race is already surveyed and constructed.
The site for the dam is also surveyed.

The mean depth of such race is 1 foot, and the
mean breadth is 1 foot; and it is proposed to divert
one Government-head of water.

PHILLIP A. CONNOLLY.

Any person objecting to the granting of this ap-
plication must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Naseby on or before the 7th day
of November, 1881.

Hearing at 11 o'clock on the 7th November, 1881.
