Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.
Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or be-
fore the 1st day of December, 1881.
Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Reefton.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: Patrick Twohill. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The Endea-
vour Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
west of and adjoining West Welcome, Little Boat-
man's Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.
Applicant: George Charles Bowman. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "The
Dunedin Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods;
bounded on the East by ground applied for by Boat-
man's Company, Boatman's Creek, Inangahua; in the
Nelson South-West Mining District.
Applicant: George Charles Bowman. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "The
Midlothian Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2
roods; bounded on the East by the Cornstock, on the

Crœsus Quartz-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods;
bounded North by Lyell Creek, South by City of
Dunedin lease, East by the Albion Company's lease,
and West by Crown land; in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.
