Declaring "Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876,"
in force within the Port Victoria Road District,
County of Akaroa.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the said Act shall come into force,
in respect of all the elective offices of the Port
Victoria Road Board, within the district known as
the Port Victoria Road District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of October, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one.

Land taken for Roads in the Albertland North
Road District, Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of roads through Allotments
numbers fifty-nine, sixty-four, sixty-eight, sixty-nine,
seventy, eighty-two, eighty-three, eighty, and ninety-
nine, Parish of Oruawharo, Provincial District of
Auckland:

And whereas the Albertland North Road Board
has laid before the Governor the memorial and map
mentioned in and signed and certified as required by
the said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities in me vested
by sections twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three,
twenty-four, and twenty-five of "The Public Works
Act, 1876," and by section twenty-eight of "The
Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and
of any other power and authority enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for the purposes of roads; and that, from and after
the third day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, the land so described
shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her
Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges,
claims, estates, and interests of what kind soever, for
use as roads.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 acre and 32 perches, more or
less, being portion of Allotment No. 59, Parish of
Oruawharo, commencing at the northernmost corner
of Allotment No. 59. Bounded-North-easterly by a
line, 127 links; generally Easterly by lines, 1035 and
215 links respectively; South-westerly by a line, 170
links; generally Westerly by lines to commencing
point, 65 and 1085 links respectively.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 21 perches, more or
less, being portion of the north-eastern portion of
Allotment No. 64, Parish of Oruawharo, commencing
at a point in the south-western boundary of Allot.
