pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-
mining lease cancelled, and that the ground is now
open for application as if no lease of the said ground
had ever been applied for:—

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regu-
lations made under that Act for the granting of
leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified
that it is intended to grant leases of Crown lands
for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified
in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such leases.
Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or
before the 27th day of October, 1881.
Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Reefton.

SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: Arthur D. Bayfield. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "The
Foreigner Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 10
acres, at Lankey's Creek, Inangahua, in the Nelson
South-West Mining District.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and the regulations
thereunder for the granting and issue of mineral
leases, it is hereby notified that it is intended, after
the expiration of thirty days from the publication of
this notice, to grant a lease for coal-mining purposes
to the applicant, and for the land specified in the
Schedule hereto.
The application, together with plan and papers
in connection therewith, can be seen at the Crown
Lands Office, Dunedin.
