and for every license a fee of twenty shillings will
be charged.

  1. No license shall authorize any person other
    than the person named therein to fish, and that only
    with rod and line, and between the hours of four
    o'clock in the morning and ten o'clock in the even-
    ing.

  2. Any person fishing without a license, or any
    person who shall on demand of any person holding
    and showing a license, or on the demand of any
    ranger, police officer, or constable, fail to produce
    and show to such person, ranger, police officer, or
    constable his license, shall be liable to a penalty not
    exceeding twenty pounds.

  3. All trout not exceeding seven inches in length
    taken by any person fishing as aforesaid shall be
    immediately returned alive to the water, and any
    person convicted of infringing this regulation shall
    be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty pounds
    sterling, and his license shall thereupon become void.

  4. Except as aforesaid, no person shall fish or use
    any net or other engine, instrument, or device for
    taking fish in any lake, river, or stream within the
    above district; and all persons offending against this
    regulation shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding
    fifty pounds.

  5. Any person who puts, throws, or places, or
    allows to be put, thrown, or placed, into any lake,
    river, or stream in the said district, any dynamite or
    other explosive substance, or any matter or liquid
    deleterious to fish, shall be liable to a penalty not
    exceeding one hundred pounds.

  6. These regulations shall come into force as from
    the first day of October, one thousand eight hundred
    and eighty-one.

Authorizing the taking and laying down of Roads
over Native Land in the Auckland Provincial
District.

IN exercise and pursuance of all powers and au-
thorities enabling me in this behalf by "The
Native Land Act, 1873," "The Native Land Act
Amendment Act, 1878 (No. 2)," and "The Public
Works Act, 1880," I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby authorize

CHARLES RUDOLF NEUMANN,
Government Surveyor, of Auckland, to take and lay
down roads over the land specified in the Schedule
hereto, and for that purpose to exercise all such
powers as by the said Acts may be exercised by a
person legally authorized in that behalf under the
said Acts.

authorities vested in me by the fourth section of
"The Cemetries Management Act, 1877," I, James
Prendergast, Chief Justice of the Colony of New
Zealand, and Administrator of the Government
thereof, do hereby appoint

JOSEPH REID DODSON,
CHARLES EDWARD BUNNY,
CHARLES GREIG,
WILLIAM HADDOW,
ROBERT LEVIEN, and
STEPHEN BROWN WHITE

to be Trustees, in place of Messrs. H. Buckeridge, R.
Hadfield, and J. R. Hooper, to provide for the main-
tenance and care of the Nelson Public Cemetery, as
described in the warrant under the hand of His
Excellency the Governor, dated the twenty-third
day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight, in conjunction with the Hon. Mathew
Richmond, C.B., whose appointment is notified in the
warrant aforesaid.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
third day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one.

(Suburban) Public Cemetery.

thorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I,
James Prendergast, Chief Justice of the Colony of
New Zealand, and Administrator of the Government
thereof, do hereby appoint the several persons whose
names are specified in the first column of the Sche-
dule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the main-
tenance and care of the public cemetery specified in
the second column of the said Schedule.
