THE MANAWATU BOILING-DOWN AND CURING
COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that an Extraordinary
General Meeting of the Shareholders of the
above Company is hereby convened to be held at the
offices of Messrs. Palmerson and Scott, the Square,
Palmerston North, on Tuesday, the 16th day of
August, 1881, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, to
confirm the following resolution passed at an extra-
ordinary general meeting of the Shareholders of the
above Company, held on Tuesday, the 12th day of
July, 1881, namely: "That the above-named Com-
pany be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. Henry
Seegers Palmerson be appointed Liquidator."

ROBERT JULIAN SCOTT, of Dunedin, has deposited
at this office a specification of the said invention, and
I have appointed Friday, the 25th day of November
next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at this office, to
hear the said application and all objections thereto;
and I require all persons having an interest in op-
posing the grant of such Letters Patent to leave, on
or before the 21st day of November next, at this
office, particulars in writing of their objections to
the said application, otherwise they will be precluded
from urging the same.

NOTICE UNDER "THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1876."

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blueskin Road
Board intend to take a road, 60 links wide,
from the Port Chalmers and Blueskin Road to the
road leading to the Mihiwaka Railway-station.
The proposed road will leave the Port Chalmers
and Blueskin Road at a point in Section 83, Block
VI., and connect with the road to the railway-station
at a point in Section 2 of 23, Block IV., passing
through Sections 83 and 84, Block VI., and Sections
21, 22, 1 of 23, 2 of 23, and 52, Block IV., North
Harbour and Blueskin District.

A plan of the road proposed to be taken through
the above-named sections can be seen at the residence
of Mr. Dugald McLachlan, at Purakanui, up to the
17th day of September next; and all persons affected
thereby are requested to set forth in writing any
well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands
or the making of such road, and to send such writing,
within forty days, to the office of the Blueskin Road
Board.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
hitherto subsisting between the undersigned,
under the style or firm of "J. T. Smith and Company,"
was dissolved on the 1st day of June last by the
retirement of Mr. William Bramwell Scott. The
business will be carried on by Messieurs James
Thomas Smith and William Sidney Smith, trading
under the firm of "J. T. Smith and Company," by
whom all debts due to and by the late firm will be
received and discharged.

HAMMOND and JAMES FRANCIS LOVEGROVE,
carrying on business as Medical Practitioners at
Timaru, New Zealand, under the style and firm of"Hammond and Lovegrove," has been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the 30th June, 1881.
