SCHEDULE.
Land taken for a Portion of the Waitaki-Bluff Rail-
way-Branch Line from Waipahi to Heriot Burn
(Tapanui Section, further portion of).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued under the
authority of sections one hundred and twenty-
two, one hundred and twenty-three, and one hundred
and twenty-four of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
the middle line of a portion of the branch line of rail-
way from Waipahi to Heriot Burn, from the main line,
Waitaki to Bluff, being one of the railways specified
in "The Public Works Act, 1879," was defined: And
whereas pursuant to the one hundred and twenty-fifth
section of "The Public Works Act, 1876," the Minis-
ter for Public Works has caused to be made and,
on the sixteenth day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty, to be deposited in the
office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at
Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago, such
maps and plans as were necessary to explain the
said portion of the said line of railway and the land
through which the same passes, and such maps and
plans were referred to in such Proclamation as afore-
said: And whereas "The Public Works Act, 1879,"
enacts that such of the railways mentioned therein as
are unfinished may be completed under the provisions
of "The Public Works Act, 1876," "The Public
Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and "The
Public Works Act, 1879:" And whereas the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be
taken for a part of the said portion of the said branch
line of railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred by the sixth
section of "The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment
Act, 1878," and of every power and authority in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for
the said part of the said branch line of railway.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 5 acres 1 rood 17 perches, more or
less, situated in the Waipahi Survey District, being
portion of the land reserved for railway purposes,
Township of Waipahi, Block VII. of the said
survey district, and comprised within the follow-
ing boundary-lines: Commencing at a point on
the middle line of the main line of the Wai-
taki-Bluff (with branches) Railway distant 9902
links on a bearing of 35° 10' 20" from the Trig.
Station A of the before-mentioned survey district,
and running thence on a bearing of 31° 29' for
a distance of 237 links to the boundary-line of
railway reserve, and extending along that boundary
362 links; thence 65° 8', 120 links, to the south-west
corner of Section No. 3, Block X., Waipahi Town-
ship; thence along the southern boundary-line of
Sections Nos. 3 and 2 of said block, 300 links, to the
south-easternmost corner of said Section No. 2;
thence along the eastern boundary-line of said
section, 100 links; thence on a line bearing 65° 8',
110 links; thence on a due north line for a distance
of 670 links to the right bank of the River Waipahi;
thence descending along the said bank for a distance
of 1630 links; thence on a line bearing 250° 12', 110
links, to a point on the middle line of the said Wai-
taki-Bluff (with branches) Railway; and thence
along said middle line for a distance of 1450 links,
to point of commencement: the portion of land
herein described being intersected by street-lines, for
which allowance has been made in the acreage.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 6 acres and 7 perches, more or less,
situated in the Waipahi Township, being portions
of Blocks IV., VII., and VIII. of said township,
and Block VII., Waipahi Survey District, and
comprised within the following boundary-lines :
Commencing at a point being the south-western
corner or angle of Section No. 13, Block VIII., of
said township, thence on lines bearing 17° 33' for a
distance of 200 links, 107° 33', 250 links; 17° 33',
